Hemping mesh shorts

Hi all, I have these shorts and want to hem them about 2 inches shorter. As you can see, they have a side slit. I’m okay with not having the slit, but should I cut the fabric shorter and then fold it over to hem it, or should I leave the fabric as is and just fold it over?

One other question: I noticed that the stitching on the inside is a zigzag pattern. Could someone help me identify which stitch I should use on my machine to replicate it?

Thanks!

Seam curve help

Hi all, I just started sewing recently only done a few Tshirt to sleeveless top conversion with my Janome and I can’t seemed to stop the bunching or (puckering?) I looked up online and someone mentioned I need to cut a V or bunch of recessed cuts around the curve so the curve seam has more tolerance. I tried that and found that sometimes I get a good curve but sometimes it is still bunching.

Is there a good technique or method that I should know for curves? Do you sew on the recess cuts or further away from it? As you can tell in the picture my lines are all over place. Do you pull the material really taunt as it pass through? Thank you.

150 lb sandbag attempts

My attempts at 150 lbs using different methods. Which method should I continue to practice on? The last attempt seems to be closest to a successful shoulder. Thanks

Form check

Is there anything that can be improved with my shoulder technique? Im feeling decently comfortable with 100 now. Trying to work up to my 150 lbs but that bag refused to get past my chest.

Squatmax MD original unit question

Hi there I have the original squat max md from Brian and was wondering what is the bottom S hook attach to? I currently have a loop that hooks it onto the bottom of the loading pin that also has an S hook. I would assume it’s so that the loading pin does not come off of the pvc tubing for really tall people?

Also is there an alternative to the pvc pipe tubing since it’s rubbing off tons of shavings on the bottom of my base.

Is there also a way to add on wheels to this unit? I saw that the titan version has wheels on theirs.

Travel packing list

Hi all. Traveling soon and curious what everyone takes with them in their check in bag. I was thinking either my small DIY baseboard or X3 Board + X3 bar but I was thinking it might be too cumbersome. I was doing a light workout with just my glove and resistance band and it doesn’t feel too bad. Also, I just made my edge guard for my X3 board out of TPU this morning and it seems to work fine but I feel like the metal lips still kind of rubbing on the band a bit.

Curious what’s everyone packing list when travel. Doing two weeks traveling total. Max bag check-in is 33kg.

Current packing list:
4 bands
Push up bars
Glove
