I’m playing as Kaganovich and the 5 year plan requires 826 food production. I’ve completed most of the focuses and I’ve stacked almost all my remaining build slots with agri industrial complexes. My food production is only at 460. How do I increase production?
I would like to start by saying that I am not Punjabi. There a lot of things about politics in Punjab that I either don’t know or don’t fully understand, and I apologize if I come across as disrespectful or rude in any way.
That said, I’ve been lurking here for a little bit. I’ve seen a deep resentment towards the current state of politics in Punjab and India more generally both here and from friends who have emigrated from the region. Based on what I do know about Punjabi politics, that resentment is fully, 100% justified. I wanted to ask : Why not start a new party? One that isn’t the shit show that seems to be nearly everyone in Indian & Punjabi politics? I definitely could see a real lane for a youth-driven, renewed party that can offer a real alternative. It’s not entirely comparable, but in Canada, a similarly youth-led and oriented organization called Reclaim resolved that the New Democratic Party needed a new direction that was firmly different from the dominant parties. Reclaim and it’s allies effectively took control of the NDP, electing strong, principled people (of varying ages) to all but a handful of leadership roles in the party. There is, from what I can see, a real desire and need for an option that isn’t just not awful, but is also a good choice in itself. In my experience, waiting and « pressuring » people already in the game gets you nowhere, and you can achieve a lot more by doing it yourself.
I won’t kid myself or you, this isn’t really a question. It’s more so me trying to encourage people to put together a real option in India. Everywhere in the world (My country, Canada, included) young people should be getting up and demanding better. I really hope to see a new generation of politicians (Although I hesitate to use that word) who just don’t give a crap about the feelings of entrenched interests, and who are in it because they actually just want people to have a better life. Make a new party, takeover an existing one, whatever. Get up, build something, do something.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve got to say. Again, there’s lots of things I don’t get, so I apologize if I came off as rude in any way. I really do hope to see more youth led organizing across the world.
I’ve been super interested in finding out what the WTB plan actually entails, but I haven’t been able to find much online. Does anyone here know of anywhere I can read it?
In Canada, we have a left wing party called the New Democratic Party (NDP) that emerged from progressive-socialist activism alongside labour unions and farmers movements. Organizations in the United States already exist in the form of DSA and prominent labour unions, so why continue working within the Democratic Party? Why not try to build an independent party that runs its own candidates? I understand that the US currently functions as a two-party state, but I truly don’t understand why there is no real action being taken to change that.
I was going by the sports centre this morning and saw that the « Save Max » part of the sign had been covered up. The sign now reads « Sports Centre ». Does anyone know why that was changed?
