WIP: Logan Grimnar, The Great Wolf.

He's gonna be my biggest challenge when it comes to painting. Hopefully I can do him justice!

Arjac Rockfist progress, he's getting there.

He's been quite fun to paint. First character model I've painted so I'm giving him some extra love.

Grime or no grime?

Well, after experimenting with streaking grime, I think I'm only going to stick with putting it in the recesses rather than all over like a wash. Or maybe I can add it to the bottom part of the legs and in select areas?

I wasn't aware of how much saturation it would take away. I still like how it turned out, but man, that blue sure was pretty.

Anyways, thoughts?

How long should I wait to paint after using white spirits?

I used some streaking grime on my mini and used AK white spirits to remove it, how long should I wait before painting some highlights on the mini?

Post your grey schemes! I wanna see your wolves in grey!

I enjoy the more grey look of the wolves over the baby blue that GW pushes. I'm curious what schemes you guys use.

Pictures for reference would be amazing!

I am going absolutely nuts trying to find a color scheme I love...

I posted something about it the other day and everything I try is either too blue or too grey. Can you guys post pictures of your wolves and share the color schemes you use? I'd appreciate it greatly.

This is really bugging me and I don't wanna have an army that's 50 shades of grey/blue.

Brothers, I'm struggling

I am struggling so much to find a recipe for my wolves and it's getting quite frustrating. I've tried about 4 or 5 different color schemes and I can't find one that I really vibe with. I don't mind the baby blue standard color scheme but to me it's a bit too bright and a bit too clean. I've tried various tones of blue and grey and I just can't seem to get it. There was one recipe where I liked the color, it was mechanicus standard grey with drakenhof nightshade over it. I like the hue but I want to move away from using washes all over and I'm not sure how to replicate the color without drakenhof nightshade. I want my wolves more on the grey side with a slight blue tint to it. Or even the baby blue but a bit darker, a bit more grey, and a bit dirtier and gritty.

I just don't know what to do at this point.

With all the stir going on about the emperor "moving"....

What if this is the wolftime? What if Russ, being the EMPERORS executioner, is a literal title? What if the emperor does wake up and Russ returns to put him down, executing the emperor?

How much hopium am I huffing right now?
