Best place to hangout in Aligarh??

I want to hangout with one of my female friend.

Pls suggest me any good place in Aligarh..

Any cafe or anything where we can sit and talk..

Food preferences -- I don't want to go there and just eat.. actually I m avoiding fast food .. so if there is any healthy options to eat it's a ++ point..

I wanted to go a place where you have good ambience less crowded, and a good place to time spent...

Aligarh people looking to hang out — let’s break the ice first

Look, guys, I’ve seen many posts here like “let’s meet,” “anyone up for a hangout,” etc.

But honestly, the main flaw is that directly meeting a stranger in person can be a little overwhelming and awkward.

So if some of you are genuinely interested in hanging out, chatting, finding a group, or looking for people to run, play, explore places, etc., then we should first break the ice in a Telegram group.

We can chat there, get to know each other a little, do a basic vibe check, and then meeting in person will feel much easier and safer.

I’ve already made a group, but I’m not posting the link here because I don’t want the moderators to think I’m promoting something. If anyone is interested, message me, and I’ll send the Telegram group link.

Need advice from marketers and startup founders on validating an edtech startup (i will not promote)

Hey everyone,

I'm building a small edtech startup called Alpha Classes, and I'd really appreciate some honest advice from people who've worked in marketing, branding, or early-stage startups.

The product is for AMU & JMI entrance aspirants. Instead of being another lecture-heavy coaching platform, we're trying to build a practice-first platform—students solve questions, take custom tests, track their mistakes, and improve through practice rather than just watching videos.

The problem isn't building the product. The problem is getting people to trust a brand they've never heard of.

Since we're starting in a very niche market (AMU & JMI) with almost no marketing budget, I'm trying to figure out:

- How would you build trust for a completely new education brand?

- What would make parents or students choose us over established coaching institutes?

- If you had to get your first 100 paying students, what would you do?

- What marketing channels would you focus on if your budget was close to zero?

The long-term vision is to expand to other entrance exams (Sainik School, Navodaya, etc.), but right now I just want to validate the idea in one market before scaling.

I'm not looking to promote Alpha Classes here. I'm looking to learn from people who've been through this before. Even if you think the idea has flaws, I'd genuinely like to hear them.

Thanks in advance.

What's the biggest problem you've faced while buying or selling something at AMU?

I noticed something strange at AMU.

Every semester, students are trying to sell things—books, calculators, cycles, gadgets, hostel essentials, notes, even room furniture.

But most deals happen through random WhatsApp groups, Instagram stories, or word of mouth. Sellers struggle to find buyers, and buyers often don't even know what's available around them.

A few months ago, I started building a small project to solve this problem.

It's called BuyKarlo.

The idea is simple: a dedicated marketplace for students where anyone can list items in minutes and connect directly with interested buyers.

One question people often ask is: how is this different from OLX?

The biggest issue with general marketplaces is trust. You often come across fake or misleading listings, and many times the buyer and seller are located far away from each other, making transactions inconvenient and uncertain.

BuyKarlo is designed specifically for the AMU community. The focus is on connecting students, alumni, and people within the AMU ecosystem, which naturally creates a more relevant and trustworthy marketplace.

I've also introduced a multi-layer trust system. Users who verify themselves using their university ID can earn trust points, which increase their trust score. Successful transactions can further improve that score over time. This gives buyers an easy way to identify sellers who have built credibility within the community and helps create a safer marketplace for everyone.

Some things I've been working on:

• AI-assisted product listing (to make posting easier)

• Free listings

• Student-focused marketplace experience

• AMU community-focused marketplace

• Trust scores based on verification and successful deals

Right now it's still in an early stage, and I'm looking for feedback from fellow AMU students.

What would make you actually use a platform like this?

What problems have you faced while buying or selling things on campus?

I'd genuinely appreciate suggestions, criticism, or feature ideas.

I spent months building this for AMU students. Tell me why it will fail.

Hi everyone,

Over the last few months, I've been building a side project called Veilo specifically for AMU students.

The idea was simple:

Sometimes students want to talk, confess something, meet new people, ask questions, or just have conversations without attaching their real identity to everything.

So Veilo is a private platform where:

• Only verified AMU students can join (using institutional email IDs)

• Your real email is never visible to other students

• You can create your own anonymous avatar/persona

• Anonymous DMs and campus conversations

• Campus Whisper/Confession feed (currently being rolled out)

• Reactions, presence indicators, and realtime chat

The project is still in beta and I'm mainly looking for honest feedback from AMU students.

What feels useful? What feels unnecessary? What would make you actually use something like this?

Website: veilo.shop

I'd genuinely appreciate criticism more than praise.

Thanks.
