im hoping to get into freebsd whenever i have the time i decided to start with my server and eventually use one of my spare computers as a freebsd desktop later on.
im planning to switch my homeserver from alpine to freebsd. (ive already backed up everything important)
the only thing i really use it for is sftp and jellyfin
how is jellyfin support? will transcoding work? i dont use it very often but i imagine it would be nice to have
is their a native package or do i have to rely on linuxlator or something?

anyway ive already gone ahead and switched my server im the mixed of setting up ssh and jellyfin. and i LOVE the docs the freebsd docs are the best ive ever seen in my entire life. it might take me a few weeks to switch my desktop but i will get their!.
really have no idea what to choose im worried im falling into a pit trap 99% of newbies do and theirs no way to reverse it ill regret later on. what should i do?

background(how i got into playing the mother series)
first of all i would just like to say that i played all 3 games sequentially i know most people dont really care much for mother 1, well they might now that EBBR is a thing. i started all of this back in april when i started playing mother 1 back then i didnt do the 25th anniversary edition and it was a few months before ebbr. i had some breaks in between because i got disengaged. mother 2 felt alot longer since it was so spread out so it also took my a while to Finnish that. mother 3 felt alot shorter and more linear and i loved playing through all of it.
some thoughts on mother 3.

i was so surprised when i headed to new pork city i expected a pretty goofy villain but with more seriousness towards the end. but you gotta be kidding me porky = pokey? why he even change his name. everyone said he was the leader i looked at the statue of him and i was all like PORKEY? wtf PORKEY? that makes no sense. i thought he was his decadent or some shit since he still looked like a kid on the statue. anyways i knew he would end up being the villain because that's what he pulled in the first game being a minor character then getting important out of nowhere.
