Capitalism and art

We been told it was harmful for the arts but I don’t see how it was that way. Creative fellas don’t need government funding to draw a comic, play a song etc. In fact, in capitalist countries you can earn quite a lot under that occupation. I don’t think American artists need to complain. East Germany, like some other socialist countries, did fund popular musicians but this also lead to them not being able to express themselves in ways the govt didn’t want. Freedom has no price.

Socialism doesn’t profit workers.

You are responsible for your own income. Don’t make your fate dependent upon others. You wanna share your goods with someone who matters to you? Do so. But once you demand others to do the same it becomes a problem.

Perfect match would be:

Lead vocals, maybe occasional percussion or ukulele - Bingo

Guitar (maybe a Stratocaster or an acoustic Martin) - Bandit

Bass - Chilli

Drums - Bluey

He already said there won’t be a MotoGP ride without him earning it. Which I agree with.

Besides, decent rides aren’t available anymore. I used to think Trackhouse, but now it looks all but secure that Mir will be getting that ride. I think even if he wins the title staying in Moto2 wouldn’t be bad. He‘s only 21 and moving up in 2028 would be soon enough.

People forget that harmonicas aren’t just there for single notes but also for chords. As an example, on a Melody Maker in C you play a D minor chord blowing the first three holes and a C major drawing them. So having the notes in a different order makes quite a difference to say the least.

Another important tuning Lee Oskar has to offer is the Harmonic Minor. People forget that while the harmonic minor scale is a variant of the 6th mode (Aeolian), it also has seven modes (on a Harmonic Minor Am, you will play E Phrygian dominant in 2nd position).

.
Ranking my favourite tunings:

  1. Melody Maker - fewer bends than others but still were useful and soulful

  2. Natural Minor - not the best option for country blues but still a great option for Reggae, Latin and roots rock

  3. Harmonic Minor - for less western music, but also a lot of reggae and rock

  4. Richter Harp - the most imposant one you will play - obviously

  5. Country Tuning - hence why I love the Special 20 in spite of being a Lee Oskar loyalist. Playing melodies in 2nd position is way more fun
