Is it just me or does Canadian Public Sector seem to be stricter and closer to FED in terms of there rules compared to USA SLED?
They seem to have iron clad RFP process albeit very fair
What was everyone’s thoughts about her speech about how government is a 24/7 business and leadership isn’t 9-5
Okay sales people; please help me
I work in a SLED Agency, and every time we reach out to a vendor through their website, our request ends up getting sent to small business and then small business insists on meeting with us, and then realize this were too complex and then sends us to public anyways.
Why do we keep ending up in SMB? Any idea? It’s relentlessly annoying to waste these meetings
Public decision maker here
Upcoming fairly large conference in August- every decision maker and there mother is going to be there, trade show floor with booths.
But
- 99% of these are RFP only organization
- There’s sessions all day, and delegations to politicians, and on top of plenary programs
- Breakfast and Lunch are apart of the program (and they make vendors eat separately)
- Receptions are pre-offered and preplanned, hosted, going till 11pm
- Dinner is usually team dinners / catch up on work
Genuinely feel bad for the poor sales reps that got sent because what are yall gonna do?
Hey Folks!
Can someone please correct me if I am wrong but I believe from my understanding Senior Managers and up are generally not granted CWW days in most circumstance?
Can someone please confirm me on this: thank you so much!
Is it just me or the SOC leadership town hall thing the other week - all the ADMs siting beside her looked like absolutely exhausted. They looked like zombies?
Just me? What are they doing to these ooor execs
What is with the preneed obsession at the large funeral home chains? They continuously say they break even - and often make more money from at need arrangements.
So why? Where’s pot of gold I am missing?
They aren’t counselling, they aren’t counsellors. Why not just call them Family Service Worker/Professionals/Advisors/Specialist’s etc?
Title says all. I have a gold fish memory but I am strong at discussion posts / essays etc
I run a medical ed organization, and we deal with two Dignity markets and they are so different. Is this normal?
One, is so sales focused, they would sell there own mother I swear. Like everything that the “big evil corp funeral home” you would expect
And the other market is so sweet, approachable, education focused, relaxed, family focused etc.
What’s the difference!? Why is one market so different than the other !?
Hi All,
I’ve been at a small organization since its inception and have recently ended up becoming the person that gets asked for everything all of the time.
I would really like to decentralize myself and stop being the answer to everything.any suggestions how to do this
Hey!
I’m curious if anyone else is struggling with this specifically those of you who are in the government funded nonprofit world.
We’ve outgrowing QuickBooks and it can’t meet our needs and do the controls we need but was certainly not big enough nor can we afford NetSuite or peoplesoft.
Any suggestions for an in-between? Anyone using Odoo?
Rules, restrictions, strong consumer rights and one person allowed to own no more then 20% of a store
Force loblaws to spin off all of its brands into separate public companies (No Frills, etc)
