Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some guidance regarding the transfer of an arms licence in Haryana.

My grandfather, who was a resident of Haryana, recently passed away. He held a valid arms licence and had a firearm registered under that licence.

He has two legal heirs/sons — my father and my uncle. We want to understand the procedure for transferring the arms licence/firearm to my father.

Could someone familiar with the Arms Act/Arms Rules or the Haryana licensing process please clarify:

• What is the procedure for transferring the licence after the licence holder’s death?
• What documents are generally required (death certificate, legal-heir certificate, NOC/consent from other heirs, existing arms licence, firearm documents, etc.)?
• Which authority/officer in Haryana should the application be submitted to?

I have a internship/training in CFL (Cyber Forensics Laboratory) for 2 months at Dial 112 office, Sec 3, Panchkula Haryana for which I have to stay near that, help me to search for pg nearby
