I've gotten to really love a good porter. I like the combination of roasty and hoppy without it being too sweet or overwhelming coffee flavor. Although I do recognize some examples are made with additives in mind.

If a brewery taproom has one - I'm ordering it for sure. In terms of distributed porters, I do enjoy Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald and Deschutes Black Butte is decent.

What Porters do you all love that are more widely availible?

What Porters from smaller or regional craft breweries do you love?

I travel to the area about 6-8 times per year and am always looking for a DP fix when I get off the plane. But there's nothing to be found.

Most of the convenience stores have it because they have everything. But I noticed offices hotels etc are never stocked with it.

For reference I also visit the Carolina's and Mid Atlantic and never have this problem.

What's going on?!

Has anyone found an over the counter brand that isn't so easily crushed and broken?

The prescription brand is in a nice capsule in a bottle, but the over the counter brands break and crumble coming out of bubble packs.

I'll be in Southern Shores area looking for a place to watch world cup games.

I don't just mean a sports bar that might have the game on one of the TVs.

I love to find a place that would play the games with sound on and everything.

Any suggestions?
