I have an overabundance of tomatoes this year. I'm trying to give them away but it is very difficult to get anyone at any of the food banks on the phone. Unfortunately don't have the time to drive all over town.
The current Barber that I'm going to has let me down the past couple times and I don't have the courage to switch to a different Barber at that business. I am looking for somebody who can do some really tight lines.
We might be moving to Harrisonburg in the coming years and I am looking forward to it because where we are moving from there isn't much to do. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on things that are fun in the area for middle school aged kids.
I think they are big enough to evict at this point.
Almost immediately after this baby was hatched the mother took it out of the nest. I'm not sure if I am allowed to post this here but I just am curious as to why she would do that. There are three hatchlings already in the nest and one unhatched egg.
Update: I checked the camera again and the baby bird was no longer outside of the nest. And then took time to count and there are five babies in the nest. It looks like she took it back I posted the picture.
This is a larger version of a previous experiment I had done that seemed to work out. I put three screen cylinders in the middle of a woodchip pile that has a mixture of coffee grounds grass clippings and wood chips. In the screen cylinders I will put kitchen scraps and shredded leaves. The worms come up from the ground to eat but I also have added some Red wigglers from my worm bins which I don't think will survive the winter.
All right folks, this morning I decided to go back to the two Starbucks that I got grounds from yesterday and I hit up two others in town. The baristas were more than happy to give me all the grounds that they have. I was able to fill up this 45 gallon trash can which I bought solely for this purpose.
