2025 Saddlebags and Mounting Brackets.

Looking for recommendations for 2025 model saddlebags. I'd rather go with saddlebags vs a top case. Looking to do overnight stays vs major touring. I've been looking on the web, but personal experience speaks louder than web descriptions.

Indian Chief Dark Horse. The good the bad and the ugly?

I know I've been asking about Indian bikes lately. I know I want one. Trying to find out the good, the bad and the ugly truths (if any) about the Chief Dark Horse. I rode the Sport Chief over the weekend, along with a Sport Scout. Currently on a MT07 and I love the torque. Wanting to get a cruiser and I loved the feeling of that 116 motor. Can anyone shed some light on the subject, with actual experience on one? I love riding sporty, but I need to act my age and make sure I get home after every ride! That and my wife is on a cruiser, so I should probably learn to relax on the road and enjoy the ride instead of trying to get everywhere as fast as I can. The bike pictured is what my local dealer is bringing in for me to test ride.

Footpegs. Do they need an upgrade or is it a money grab?

Out of sheer curiosity, is it worth it to change/upgrade the footpegs on the MT07, or is it just another parts money grab type of thing? I don't have an issue, and the ol' saying goes: If it's not broke, don't fix it. But, has anyone experienced any difference in aftermarket footpegs? Not looking for track use, but more so just daily riding, occasional twisties and back road riding.

Stock Tires Holding Up Quite Well. Decided To Go Round 2!

I have 6700 miles on my first set of Dunlop Q5A Sportmax tires as a new rider. I push myself to learn more everytime I ride. I got another set to keep learning because they are grippy for city leaning and some occasional twisty riding but, I hope to go with some Michelin Road 6 in the future. Can anyone shed some light on the Michelin vs the Dunlop Q5A's? (Third pic is the front tire, FYI.)

Got Some New Turn Signals Installed!

Got some new stubby front LED turn signals from TST Industries to go with the rears on my 2025. Definitely cleaned up the look, and with the adapter, I was able to keep the full time running function. Super bright and well worth the $68!! Was super easy to install on my own.

New Tank Pad Mod for the MT

New tank pads. Actual rubber compared to the first ones that were just there as placeholders! So much better and functional!

Homemade Seat Hack from a Construction Worker

I purchased the Yamaha Comfort seat and it was barely better than the stock. I have searched and posted asking, about better options. Corbin doesn't have one yet and Kelpi is rather expensive. I don't want to go through the hassle of finding a custom upholstery shop but that is my last option.

I am a Union Plumber by trade and happen to have some 1" thick Armaflex refrigeration insulation sheets laying around that I have used for kneeling down on the concrete around the house.

I decided to purchase a pneumatic staple gun, staples, and some diamond stich fabric off Amazon. I don't have photos of, but I used a piece of that insulation to install over the original seat because I still had it, and make my own "comfort seat". I used poly-fill from a woofer box I built to fill in and space around the edges of the insulation and the seat, and use the diamond stich fabric to cover it all. Took a couple tries to get enough material to wrap it, tuck it and staple it, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. Only saddle time will tell my cheeks how it works.

Found a super close color available here in the U.S.

So, I've been looking for a paint that is close to the blue wheels of the Ice Storm configuration. The Y127 color seems to be only available from Malaysia.

Went to Lowe's just to look. Found a Rustoleum Oasis Blue that is close to spot on. It's just a slight shade lighter. I sprayed a white first. I think if I just sprayed the blue on the black pieces it would have been damn near dead on.

Looking For Correct Color Code

So, I've been trying to find the correct color code for my '25 MT07. I had originally ordered the wrong color for the front wheel replacement becauseof a pothole (ended up with black) and now I ordered the wrong color of paint to try and add some accent to a couple pieces to match the stock rear wheel. I apparently ordered the previous year color of Cyan Storm. I guess my research didn't pay off in either situation. I tried to find the color code on the bike, but I'm finding various pieces of info on where to look for it. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!

Posting this on a Saturday because the Yamaha customer service line is closed for the weekend!😋

At 45 yrs old we got his and her bikes!

My wife and I now both have bikes. She's working on getting her endorsement and I got mine last year. Can't wait to get out with her and ride! If she can keep up!😝

I purchased the Yamaha "comfort" seat for the '25 MT07. It's definitely an upgrade over the stock seat and I got a few thousand miles on it so far. However, I am now at a point where I can only ride for about an hour and a half and I gotta start shifting in my seat and stretching my lower back at stoplights/stop signs.

Can anyone speak from experience on if the Corbin seat is actually worth the money? Or would a Kelpi be better? Currently Corbin does not offer a seat for the 2025 model.

So just a random question for the heftier riders out there on the MT07's:

How fast have you taken your bike? I'm 6ft and about 245lbs. I just hit 106mph and felt like she had a little more to give. On the freeway, with nobody around to put in danger. I'm thinking if I lose about 20-30lbs, I can probably go a little bit faster in a shorter amount or road.

Just need to quit drinking beer again!😝🤣🤣 Those IPA's, though!
