Hi, I’m very new to photography beyond an iPhone, but I took my new camera (canon r7) on a trip to Scotland over the last couple of weeks. I pulled out some of my favorite shots, with a little bit of editing on them. I would love some advice and critique about anything people think looks good on these, or needs improvement at all.

I'm about to make my third trip to your city in a couple weeks, and this time I'll be doing it with a real camera instead of just my phone, as I've started to get into photography over the last couple of months.
Unfortunately I really only have a half day or so to myself there before starting on a NC500 group trip for a few days, and I was wondering whether people would recommend either the marina area or Tomnahurich Cemetery for photo opportunities, as I likely won't have time for both before it gets dark. It's kind of hard for me to see by google exactly what views I might get from each. I like taking photos of water and the animals around it but I also keep reading online that the cemetery has great views of the city, so any advice from locals would be appreciated.

*Edit: Forgot to mention I won't have a car so I'm sort of restricted to whatever is easily accessible by public transportation but I also don't mind walking.
I’ve recently purchased a new camera, and I’ve been getting out on weekends to learn how to use it. I have been going to places like the Pine Bush, Five Rivers, and Peebles Island and have been getting some decent shots of birds and small animals, but I’m wondering where other photographers like to go in the area for wildlife photography.
I know a bunch of people were asking on here, but the World Cup watch party will be back at Jennings Landing on Monday. Some rain in the forecast so something to be prepared for, but it should be a fun time.

Wondering if there is a specific pub that supporters are planning to go to ahead of time around the stadium? I’d love to hang out with the Scottish supporters, I’ve been to a few national team and club games while visiting Scotland and you’re all always a lot of fun and very nice.

I’ve always wanted to visit the Shetland Islands, and I’m looking at doing it in the fall. I’ve found a group trip through intrepid but it’s a bit pricey, and the hotel they have you stay at seems to have not great reviews. So I’m considering trying to do this on my own.
I would really rather not drive there as I’m from the US and really don’t feel comfortable driving on the other side of the road, and also can’t drive a manual which I know is more common in the UK. I’ve seen mixed reviews online of people trying to do this without a car, using public transportation. My preference would really be to just stay in Lerwick and book a few day tours but I’m having trouble finding those too.
Wondering if others have done this somewhat recently and what your experiences were.

I was looking at booking a short stay at the AC Marriott Hotel on Glebe Street in October, however when I try to do it online it says there is no availability whatsoever until November 1st. I called the hotel and all they would tell me was that there is no availability and that they are fully booked during this time, however I find it hard to believe that every single room in the hotel is booked for every single night from now until November. I am wondering if there are renovations happening, but the hotel is not even 4 years old and I stayed there back in January and it was fine, and didn't seem in any need of updates.
Does anyone have any insight?

However I booked a room rate with 5000 bonus points, which have not shown up yet. When I’ve booked rates like this in the past I’ve gotten everything together. Has anyone experienced this before and should I wait it out a bit longer or call them?
