Passed AAISM with other sources than the QAE

Hey all, wanted to give a bit of a different post and shout out to the other things that helped me provisionally pass my AAISM today. I did NOT finish the ISACA study guide (I read 23 pages). I don't sit still long enough to read cover to cover so I looked for other sources. My background is CISM, CDPSE, CRISC holder and 12+ year cyber security vet. I am a current Deputy CISO so that helped a lot here I think.

Shout out for the following things for helping me study:

  1. AudioCert AAISM course on YouTube music for my morning walks (https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKoelOVvuOTtFGHDy\_zt7jKu-RBFRAYyR&si=31SpwgmlY1vFMPE4)

  2. Destination Certification app. Studied all the flashcards and went through the question 2xs (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/destcert-exam-prep/id6469578076)

  3. Bare Metal Cyber podcast to get your mindset right. I didn't listen to them all but they did help paint the right picture (https://baremetalcyber.com/isaca-aaism)

I'm not saying this is the fool proof way to do it, but I didn't want to spend extra money buying all the ISACA stuff. If you study these enough you can do it! Good luck all.

Glass Roof Sunshade Options

Hey all,

Curious if anyone has purchased and received (or used it for a different Rivian) and can provide some feedback? Currently waiting on my R2 LE (yay!) and want to get something to block out the sun from the glass roof.

This is the low cost one I found:
https://www.evbase.com/collections/rivian-r2-accessories/products/glass-roof-sunshade-for-rivian-r2-ice-crystal-sunroof-shade-foldable-heat-reflective-sun-visor

Then this one is out there but seemed steep without any reviews:

Pathfinder - Cert Path Project

The cyber security reddit have been flooded lately with "What cert should I get next?? And then it's a bunch of answers on why you should choose one over another or bashing people who are trying to get help.

Someone took a chance on me 13 years ago been in this field over 13 & a half years ago and I wanted to try to help people without getting anything in return. Paul Jerimy made a great page to try to help people get the right certs or forge a path, so I wanted to do my part too. So I built Pathfinder: https://darkapex.io/pathfinder

Tell it your role, seniority, experience, optional career goal, and what you already hold. It returns a staged roadmap: Now / Next / Later-stretch across 85+ certs, with match confidence, difficulty, rough study time, and flags DoD 8570/8140 baseline requirements when relevant. You can also look up any specific cert and see exactly why it was or wasn’t recommended.

Quick notes so you all understand some basics :
- I'M NOT SELLING ANYTHING AND THE WEBSITE HAS NO ADS OR PROFIT FOR ME. This is purely a pet project to try to help others grow. It's attached to my website only because I didn't want to buy a separate URL for it currently.
- No signup, no email, nothing stored. Runs client-side, disappears when you close the tab.

For those with experience, please give it a shot and give me feedback on the cert recommendations or anything you think would be good to add.

For those who are trying to break into the field, good luck, study hard, and I hope ya'll get the break I did.

Cherished Relationship App to Help Us Be Better - help desired

Hey all, I am a very forgetful person when it comes to things for my wife so I made an app for myself to help me remember things and to just keep her first. I had some other buddies ask to use it and now I published it in the app store for others. I'm asking genuinely if anyone would be willing to download it and provide genuine feedback? It's not porn or ads or anything so I apologize if it seems self promotional. I'm not asking for you to sign up for a subscription or anything. I just want to be able to help us be better for significant others.

Cherished App - A Relationship companion with NO 3rd party analytics

Hey — solo dev here. Just shipped Cherished to the App Store after several months of building.

The concept: a private iOS companion app for your relationship. Daily prompts, journaling, gift tracking, weekly check-ins. All local, no backend, no accounts.

The privacy angle was the whole point for me. Every relationship/couples app I looked at wanted an account, synced your data to their servers, or had third-party analytics baked in. I didn't want any of that. Cherished stores everything on-device only.

The app is mostly free. For the full experience there's an optional subscription — launching with two discount codes:

• 3 months for $9.99 — code DAYONE: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6776436008&code=DAYONE

• 1 year for $29.99 — code 365HEARTS: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6776436008&code=365HEARTS

Tech stack if anyone's curious: React 18 + Capacitor 6, StoreKit 2 for subscriptions (no RevenueCat — wanted to stay true to the no-third-party-services ethos), all packaged as a native iOS app.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback:

- Does the value prop land?

- Does the privacy angle matter to you?

- What's missing from something like this?

App Testing Help

TL:DR made an app to help couples stay together by learning more about each other and growing personally/together. Looking for testers.

I've been working on an app to help people learn and remember more about their significant other. It helps understand their love language and then remind you of ways or things to do to improve your relationship and yourself to stay committed (the goal agrees are between 22-45). I was curious if there is anyone who would be genuinely interested in testing it and providing feedback? It's free and I'm just trying to make it better to give people a real shot at their relationships rather than break up or divorce. If this is considered a personal agenda I apologize but I didn't think it was.
