Turntable sound issue

I have this old Sony from 1970 or so. A year or so ago it started doing this loud hum and muffled sound when I play a record, but it's fine for radio. Any suggestions? Could it have anything to do with the stylus? I tend to think not, because sometimes you can jiggle the receiver and it's OK for a bit.

I've been using HRT for about a year now (estradiol patch/progesterone capsule). I've been prescribed 200 mg daily progesterone from the start and a low dose of E, and a couple of months ago moved up to .05 patch because my brain fog was coming back at .0375 (still on 200 P). I felt fine for a few weeks, then my energy level started dropping. I've been going to the gym, and I found I don't have the stamina to work out as usual, and I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I've also been having constipation, and last week started having some vaginal bleeding when straining (I went to the doctor yesterday, and she is having me set up an ultrasound), and now I'm feeling depression looming in the background. Every doctor I see seems pretty clueless about HRT, and they won't prescribe testosterone. I recently had routine blood work, and everything was normal (I did not test for iron/ferratin or hormones). Could it be that I need to titer up again? Or down? Does this sound familiar to anyone. I hate to stop using HRT--my sister has Alzheimer's and osteoporosis, and I'm trying to avoid them, plus I felt so much better on it. After the ultrasound I will ask for more bloodwork for this lack of energy, including minerals and thyroid.

I just sent a message asking for testosterone, and my doc responded that I'll need a Zoom appointment. Basically, Progesterone (200 mg micronized) is making me sluggish, and I'm hearing T helps protect the brain. I also use a .5 Estradiol patch. Any suggestions on how to ask for it and what to ask for? Would gel be best? I don't think she's up to date on HRT info. She really pushed back against giving me E+P and first gave me Premarin. I had to ask a different doc for the Estradiol, etc.
