How to deal with time off?

First, I live in a LCOL very RURAL area… talking population around 1500…. nannies are not common. We have a full time nanny for our one year old, but we do not have GH. she’s been with us about 3 months and I have operated by paying the hourly rate minus time when she is late (ex. the other day she had to come in two hours late, so I deducted 2 hrs of pay from her weekly salary). I have been “fair” by paying her for time when WE do not need her services (ex. a few weeks ago, only needed her for a half day, but paid her for the full day). this has been fine and we have had no complaints but summer is coming and I know we both have more long term vacation plans that are about to go into play.

We dont have PTO in our contract, our contract is a simple ”will be paid x per hour for hours worked” she accepted these terms and set her own hourly rate. without PTO or GH, how can we fairly accommodate vacations for both ourselves and vacations for Nanny?

I have a very deep bite, crowded bottom and top teeth, most of my teeth “flare inward”. one of my front bottom teeth is almost completely sideways. I had buck teeth as a child which was fixed with a retainer, but never got braces.

i had a dentist appt a few days ago where the dentist said due to my deep bite my bottom teeth are hitting my gums behind my top front teeth and causing gum recession (i agree as I get inflamed and sore gums behind my front teeth periodically). the deep bite is also causing my bottom teeth to chip (has happened on several teeth). I’m also concerned about the crowding in my bottom teeth making it very difficult to floss properly

I did an Invisalign consult which is said to be able to fix most of this (dentist said he MAY have to slenderize some of my teeth to get it all to work). they gave me a quote for the Invisalign comprehensive treatment at $6300 before insurance.

I’m 33, will these issues with my teeth continue to cause problems? am I risking my dental health if I do nothing? should I consider the Invisalign treatment seriously? is there cheaper options that can produce as fast results?

I know you can’t see my teeth in a Reddit text post, so I will take all advice with a grain of salt.

thanks!

My LO will be 1 in 2 weeks so trying to understand how I can transition her to Cows Milk.

this is her feeding schedule currently:

7am bottle

9am breakfast (solids)

12pm lunch (solids)

1pm optional snack (solids)

2pm snack (solids)

4pm bottle

5:30 pm dinner (solids)

7pm bottle

do I just change out all her bottles with cows milk or should the bottles be replaced with a solid snack and cows milk be given with meals?

My LO is a good eater so I’m not terribly concerned about the difficulty of the transition, just want to know what the best approach is? What did you do?
