[general] fanfic help?

Hello! This is my first time ever writing here on reddit in the PJO fandom (i wrote in others but never this) Percy Jackson has always been one of the most characters i deeply loved and i always read fanfics but never had the courage to make one, NOW i want to do that and im reading again the main books but I have a genuine question that maybe another fan outsider could give me a hand or an opinion.

I did my oc i wrote her down because i wanted to a love story between her and Percy (i love Annabeth and i love her and Percy, so i mean no badness really) and j kinda just wanted a truthful opinion (for whoever read this post) about my oc!

Here :

My OC is a daughter of Demeter and her personality is that she is kind, gentle, caring, very welcoming and non judgement UNLESS its a person who is very cruel or bad or that doesn't wanna reason at all. My idea was that she was always open to Percy and encouraged him but also held him back a few times to make him reason or focus better but she isn't the type to stop him to obstale him but more like because she worries about him deeply. She is senstive and also has a big heart and doesn't want to show it off.

Her flaws are that she is stubborn herself, loyal to a fault, sometimes she may appear way too sarcastic and she is also the kind of person who once you truly hurt her for good she will hold grunge till death (im sorry i dont know if i got the word right), in battle or training she can be ruthless which im not sure if it's a flaw or a good thing. She also is very paranoid and has a trust issue that is massive (pardon her childhood trauma as it finest) and also she can appear sometimes very cynical when she is in bad mood so she could take back without meaning although sometimes it feels a reality check.

I was told to say her fatal flaw and hers its having a senstive heart at the end of the day no matter how she hide it.

My question is, if you guys think romantically she would fit for Percy as a girlfriend, based on the canon of the books mostly...i hope i didn't bother.

Anyways, thanks for whomever answer this!

Shse shippers.

So, on tik tok, a girl told me I should get over the fact Si-eun and Suho are in love when I told her I don't ship them.

Is it a dare in this fandom to ignore their bond and reduce it as ship cause she isn't the first one that does that (not to mention the people who keep harassing the actors with season 3 or shse ship when they see the female leads that acted with Jihoon and Hyun-wook)

Look, I have been in MANY fandoms, and the last thing I care ship mostly because it's not in my interests to ship characters, not even straight ones. I love the serie tv because it genuinely brings me comfort, and I don't see Si-eun and Suho as lover but as soul mates that need each other.

Romantically or platonic, i don't care its visible they need each other. But honestly, maybe I'm just broken or something, but I don't really see the romance but a deep bond that can't be put in words.

To be specific, I'm not homophobic before anyone gets the brilliant idea to say that.

The Walking Dead fanfic. Need help with a few things.

I posted this on the fanfic community, but it got blocked for brainstorming Sunday? I don't know what that means?

The Walking Dead fanfic. Need help with a few things.

I have the prompt and the OC. I haven't found anyone who would answer my questions, and I'm on a rematch of TWD. Can anyone help me with a few things I'm not so sure about?

Characters analysis

I love this drama. Let's start with this also. I'm not sure how to even ask this question, I have no one else to talk about the characters' personality or the drama in general and on tik tok I wouldn't even dream on asking cause I have seen obsessive fans getting really mad crazy of Si-eun/ Suho ship and neglecting the actual bond they have with each other and the rest of the other characters.

This show somehow brings me comfort if it isn't much weird to say, and I wanted to write a fanfic about an OC that I made, but I wasn't sure how the characters would have canonically kinda reacted? I'm not sure if I'm gonna get jumped even here as well for just asking an opinion to other fans, so i deeply apologise for asking on this community cause I'm not sure if I can talk about fanfic in here.

My idea was kinda to make her already present in season.

And I'll just tell you how she is personality.

Her personality: she is kind-hearted, empathic, loyal to a fault (which i was told it can be a flaw too), she genuinely doesn't care about cruel people and she kinda feels like almost a wise person for her age (which is teen age) she is sarcastic a lot.

Her flaws : way to kind, way to selfless and struggle being selfish (at first than she stops) , anger issues, stubborn, she has a good heart ultimately and for the first two years she struggles with trusting people even before meeting the trio because she has ptsd...she is also a type of person that would absolutely not ask for help she might as well get hurt or sick and never tell because her view is that as long she is alive it's fine. She neglect herself and put people before herself, she is impatient too but it really depends on the occasion and its because she struggle with anxiety that she has to be perfect at everyone eyes and also she is deeply paranoid because she has to be perfect all times (unfortunately self inflicted trauma to fit people pleasing) , she has trust issue, high wariness.

But she can defend herself very well, although being slightly weak at first, she throws hands for sure, but she only acts kind when she trusts for the rest she acts stoic or just serious.

What do you all think? If it's okay, based on how they are portrayed in the kdrama.

Also, this is friendship! Not ship.

I'm not sure what put.

I'm very sorry for even making the post in first place, and I have been in the Fandom for a while, although I never really interacted with no one who liked twd. Yes, I am a girl who cares for who's gonna hate me for watching a "man show."

For anyone who sees this post, the reason is that I love writing fanfic, and I wanted to make my own.

  1. My oc isn't a Mary Sue at all.

  2. I know maybe this isn't the right community, so again, I'm sorry. All I'm asking is an opinion. Honestly, if it's no problem. So, for whoever wants to help me, here's my oc description.

My oc is a teen girl

Her personality: she is kind-hearted, empathic, loyal to a fault (which i was told it can be a flaw too), she genuinely doesn't care about people who are pure cruel. honestly, and she kinda feels like almost a wise person for her age. She also can be very sarcastic and has a sense of humour.

Her flaws : way to kind, way to selfless and struggle being selfish, anger issues, stubborn, she has a good heart ultimately but absolutely can defend herself if needed. She is the type of person who would absolutely not ask for help she might as well get hurt or sick and never tell. She neglects herself and puts people before herself. She is impatient too, but it really depends, and it's because she struggles with anxiety that she has to be perfect in everyone eyes and also she is deeply paranoid.

And I'm not sure how the group would feel or treat her.

What group? The one season 5 would be great cause that's where I am starting off.

Why I am asking? I care about respecting their canon personality and character.

For whomever will answer thanks. And I'm sorry.

Klaus love interest.

Unfortunately, I could only ever see the old movie and the serie tv because the books where I live aren't common or at least I have never really seen them.

I was told that in the books Klaus "crushes," it's different and that Isadora is only implied in the show and that he only dates or likes Fiona in the canon books so I was wondering what was Klaus type or what kind of girl he was even attracted in the books.

The Golden Trio friends outside the trio.

I'm not sure how to ask this, but it's been a whole ever since I've done a fanfic and read the books of Harry Potter so now that I'm re reading them I'm not so sure about something and I wanted an opinion.

I know the trio has good traits as much as flaws (like everyone else), but while I was writing my oc, I wasn't really sure if they would have liked her? She is not a bad person (my oc). I'm just not sure because I base their reactions on canon because I refuse to go off character. I just want to respect their canon personality even in fanfic.

I'll go ahead and tell you my oc.

My oc is a Hufflepuff.

Her personality: she is kind-hearted, empathic, loyal to a fault (which i was told it can be a flaw too), she genuinely doesn't care about Harry fame or that Ron is "poor" (she actually think Ron is cool for having many siblings), and she fully listen to Hermione and tries to keep up with her so she can have a girl friend to talk with...honestly and she kinda feels like almost a wise person for her age (which is teen age since they are at Hogwarts which is a high school) she is also a Quidditch Beater (i made this duo to the fact that in real i was good at sport before i couldn't play anymore) also she is sarcastic and has a sense of humor that might kinda feel blunt.

Her flaws : way to kind, way to selfless and struggle being selfish, anger issues, stubborn, she has a good heart ultimately and for the first two years she struggles defending herself before the anger starts.

I really have no clue in Canon terms how they trio would view her or be friends with her because she absolutely doesn't care about their fame for saving the school she more cares about them being okay or just alive.

I'm just asking opinions. Would be nice if you told me based on their canon personality based on the books.

Sorry if I made the post.

Harry's ideal type?

Without really looking at Harry and Ginny's relationship, what is obviously that book canon Harry needs in a romantic partner? Like whomnever it was gonna be... so Ginny, Hermione, Luna, Cho, etc...l mean without looking at his love relationship in the books (I dont remember, I'm sorry, I'm re reading, and I wasn't sure) what is it obvious in the books that Harry needs in a romantic partner that's what I meant I'm sorry English isn't my main language.

Like in personality and personal needs.

Harry and his fame.

Hello! Im sorry to ask the question that probably is gonna sound very stupid, but I read a book a long time ago, and even if now I'm reading them again, unfortunately I don't get much time so I leave this post for anyone who sees it.

I don't remember if Harry liked his fame or being always in the centre of attention.

Also, Hinny isn't really my favourite ship in the fiction world (I'm in many Fandoms), but I saw someone saying that Ginny didn't actually understood Harry and that is just a fan interpretation? So it got me wondering what else Harry could possibly want besides being seen as him because the only memory I have about this is Harry hiding from Romilda Vane in HBP book if I'm not wrong.

I don't know, I'm sorry to ask.

Harry love interest (books, movie and fanfic) kinda need help.

Hello! Im not sure this is the right place to discuss it but i have found more civil people in this community rather than Harry Potter general one.

Again im deeply sorry i have nobody to talk with about this and i just wanted an opinion. I hate Hinny in the movie because it really gives them little spotlight which i find unfair because Harry is the main, i also like them in the books but i think i would have liked a bit more of development because i mean again Harry is the main characters and you just throw the romance there i get that maybe its not the main thing but it would have been kinda nicer in my opinion.

But the real reason that i am making the post is for a fanfic i have been working on and i repeat, if you hate them dont read this because Harry is been my comfort zone and character, i have been in few situations in my life that kinda mirror his so my fanfic has an OC that is my sorta of self-interest, again, unfortunately i have no one to talk about this and I just wanted an opinion about my oc.

My oc is a Hufflepuff.

Her personality: she is kind-hearted, empathic, loyal to a fault (which i was told it can be a flaw too), she genuinely doesn't care about Harry fame honestly and she kinda feels like almost a wise person for her age (which is teen age since they are at Hogwarts which is a high school) she is also a Quidditch Beater (i made this duo to the fact that in real i was good at sport before i couldn't play anymore) also she is sarcastic.

Her flaws : way to kind, way to selfless and struggle being selfish, anger issues, stubborn, she has a good heart ultimately and for the first two years she struggles defending herself before the anger starts. She is the type of person that would absolutely not ask for help she might as well get hurt or sick and never tell. She neglect herself and put people before herself, she is impatient too but it really depends and its because she struggle with anxiety that she has to be perfect at everyone eyes and also she is deeply paranoid although wont tell.

My question is based on books canon. What do you think? Would have book canon Harry fallen for her or hate her...or just nah?

I'm very sorry for asking for help. I hope i didn't bother any Hinny shipper that is a die hard. I have nothing against the ship. Just wanted to make my own story respecting canon characters and personality.

Outer Banks fanfic

Hello! I'm here to ask for help with something.

Basically, I have always written Harry Potter fanfic because I am a huge fan, and I wanted to try something different from once, but I'm not sure my oc actually fits the plot because I love OBX but it's kinda falling apart lately so I wanted to like make my own version of it with my oc.

All yesterday, i was trying to figure out how to make her interesting and flawed without making her a Mary Sue, I'm sorry, I just learned the terms.

So I wasn't really if she fits because she is gonna be an outsider to the Pogues (a bit like Sarah and Cleo, but Mt oc isn't a Kook or a Pogue.).

I wanted to share my oc story with someone, but everyone dismissed me by saying I use AI, which I don't want to.

If it's no bother for anyone and someone who watched the serie tv. Do you mind if I ask you something about it? In private. Sorry if it seems weird.

Harry and his isolation.

My little cousin is reading Harry Potter for the first time at all, and I read the books a long time ago, so I'm sorry if my mind is kinda blurry with memories.

But in the movies, Harry isolation and sense of abandonment are portrayed actually pretty good, in my opinion, but what my mind misses if Harry actually wanted to be isolated or not because my little cousin is that the Chamber of Secret right now so I don't remember much from the other books.

Can anyone refresh my memory if it's not a problem and tell me if Harry in the books wanted to be in that place.

Oh! Also, my cousin saw the movies and said that Harry and Ginny were kinda random in it, and I told him that going on in the books, they are slightly better, although a little undeveloped.

My cousin asked what Harry type (romantically, I assume because we were talking about Hinny) was in the books, but I think he meant in personality, actually.

Harry Characters analysis.

Hello Potterheads.

I've seen the movies a lot of times and read the books once, but I kinda need a raw analysis of Harry personality. None of the people i know that are also Potterheads didn't answer my question because one of my friends just said my fanfic isn't her thing so she blocked me and another one just didn't answer at all.

I usually don't use reddit because it's just not my main app on the phone, but at this point, I just want someone who cares about Harry personality and understands it.

My question is that I have no idea if my OC is good match for Harry; I never liked Hinny ship because in my opinion felt rushed and just put there BUT not much I can do about it.

Basically, my oc, she's a Hufflepuff. She's the same year as Harry, and now I'm writing from the Philosopher Stone because I want it to be a painful slow burn.

Her personality is someone who is a very good person. She has a strong sense of morality and absolutely hate injustice. She is also sensitive, not that she is cry-baby, but I mean more like that simpley she us kinda soft at heart but doesn't show it off. She is also stubborn and never once abandoned Harry for the whole books events. She also first came. She didn't know his fame, and when she knew, she also didn't care. In fact, she doesn't understand why Harry has fame because, in her opinion, it's basically a reminder that Harry parents are death and that he doesn't get to have a normal life.

She is also soft-spoken most times. Like I said, she is very kind, BUT unfortunately, she also has an illness that muggle has called off with a different illness every time (it's a magic illness that keeps her weak physically although she is strong willed and tries her absolute best to defend herself from like Draco or everyone else).

Obviously, she has flaws, too. If it counts, she is sarcastic. Like I said, she's stubborn, much like Harry, that she bites (not literally) everyone that is being cruel or mindless towards her or Harry (mostly when people fail to understand that all that isn't Harry's fault)

She is also independent on her own, also being a Hufflepuff. She obviously isn't going to stick with Harry 24h to 24h. But she is strong on her own because she also has her own storyline that one way or another ends up matching Harry's, so around the fifth year, they start also beside understanding they starting noticing that they are signed almost by a destiny they didn't ask or knew at all.

Also, what else...she...mh..no just this, i guess.

For anyone who reads it, if you are gonna answer, please answer me based on the canon on the books and how Harry is portrayed in them.

And based on that canon I would like to know if he would fall for my oc or hate her.

This would be helpful to me. Thanks. And I'm really sorry for the question.

Harry Potter fanfic.

Hello! I have been writing stories and fanficion ever since, but Harry Potter has always been important to me, and i wanted an opinion of people who also read and saw the movies.

The love interest of my OC its Harry, but im not sure if they fit each other.

Her personality is that she is very kind-hearted, empathy, senstive, sarcastic, farsighted, open minded, honest, loyal to a fault, she actually has a lot of attitude to people who are cruel or disrespectful or just that she finds annoying.

She is a Hufflepuff too which in fact she is very blunt as a person but in a way to defend people she cares about, like she never truely cared about Harry's fame and she is very more worried about him just being alive at all.

She is also the type of person to open your eyes, if that's the right term...I'm sorry English isn't my first language.

But yeah, that's pretty much it? I wanted to keep Harry personality absolutely canon on how he is in the books, so that's why i was gonna ask if Harry would actually fall for a girl who is like this! Like in canon. Canon book Harry.

Harry Potter question ?

Hey Potterheads! It's been a long time since I read the books, and I don't remember much of something that had been in my mind.

I really don't remember if Harry hated people who were genuinely kind-hearted to him? Like that never cared about his fame at all, because I had a friend telling me Harry would have judged me for being kind and non caring about his fame.

This thing was stuck in my mind for a while.

Hope it doesn't sound stupid at all.
