Bed railing: Is it safe?

Moms. Have you used bed railings for you baby?

My baby staryed to actively role in every angles and I've been using pillows but no longer think they're enough.

Is bed railing a safe option? I've read about entrapment and it is making me think about whether to get it or not.

Share your experience and also suggest some good bed railings which fits tightly without any gaps.

His recent posts on insta. Is he okay?

I know the party he belongs to and I shouldn't expect anything better from him but one brain cell please?

Ivan MBBS padikkan poyo enn thanne enik doubt und. He wasn't bothered about NEET paper leaks despite being a doc. Ath potte. When minister resigned, he's suddenly concerned about punjab paper leaks n all. Had ne not resigned athonnum kuzhapm aavillayrunnirikkum. Whataboutery vare ith kand thalayil kay koduthu enna kette.

Also FCRA 2.0 ennokke koduthitt mass BGM okke. I'm sure he doesn't even know what it is about. Ingane oru ...

I now 100% believe people saying about him winning his MBBS through a lucky draw. I know I shouldn't expect basic common sense from him but Enthonnadeyy!!

Let's stop for a moment and think.

Guys I understand the frustration. I understand how it feels when these privileged pricks sit on their high horses and act like these ground level issues doesn't matter to them. When people like Kri-s and especially that one kri- mi put these stories which makes one want to bang their own head into a wall.. I get how it feels. So infuriating right?!

But let's stop giving her the attention she's craving for. Maybe she's putting up these stories to get more attention or to provoke people. She thrives on attention. Let's deprive her off that. Let's stop making every story, every comment of that kri-mi a discussion here. She's never going to change. Nothing sensible is ever going to get inside that head. She lacks basic empathy and it shows in every action of hers. She's getting some sort of high with all this negative attention it seems.

I'm not telling anybody what to post or what not to post. It's your choice. But I hope y'all give this a thought.

Key Takeaway from the whole family drama - Retirement life

This post is not about who was in the wrong or right. I wouldn't even mention anyone involved in the whole drama in this post.

This post is about what I thought is worth sharing.

No matter how rich you ar today, no matter how many houses you have, no matter which family you're from - Plan your retirement. I'm sure many know this and are doing it already. But those who aren't, please start planning for your retirement.

Makkal nokkum enno avar nokkum ivar nokkum enn onnum vicharikkanda! Ith pole oru kachara undayal avde theerum bandhom sondhom. Pinneed I did this for my daughter, I sacrificed this and that for my son enno paranjit karyamilla. And also we have to break this cycle of parents sacrificing everything for children and then expecting children to look after parents when they're old. (Many might disagree but that's okay)

This doesn't mean don't do anything for your children. Give them whatever you can for their education and better life. But at the end of the day know that you are on your own, or will be any day. This is not for innathe old parents. They did what they did and we do have the moral responsibility to look after them or atleast provide for them when they're sick or can't provide for themselves. This is for nalathe old aakan pokunna parents.

അന്ന് മക്കളുടെ എന്നല്ല ഒരുത്തന്റെയും ഒരുത്തി യുടെയും മുന്നില്‍ കൈ നീട്ടാതെ ജീവിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റണം.

My baby smiles at everyone else but me.

Moms of Keralam I need your reassurance.

So I'm a new mom of my baby boy of 6 months.

The thing is he smiles and make eye contact at everyone except me. I'm not saying that he doesn't interact with me. He will make noises, play with me n all. But when others come to the room he lights up and gives them the biggest smile there is and the cute little giggles. It's heartwarming to watch but breaks my heart every single time that I don't get the same reaction from him.

I recently only started working, that too from home, so it's not like I'm always busy or have been busy I play with him, hold him as much as I can and when I'm at work my mother takes over. She spends like 40% of time with him and she gets the biggest smile from him. My brother who just occasionally picks him up like 2-3 times a day gets the biggest smile, in laws who visit once a week gets the biggest smiles and laughs from him. Basically he smiles and giggles at everyone except me. Sometimes when I interact with him with some gestures or sounds he will stare at me with a cold expression that says - Ivarenth thengaya ee kanikkunne.

I feel like I failed as a mother. I couldn't breastfeed him due to many issues and sometimes I wonder whether it's due to that. I've heard about babies being too attached to mothers and not leaving their sides but my baby - wouldn't even notice if I disappear. I've looked up about it and I read that babies see their mothers as extension of themselves during this period ennokke. I really want to believe that's the case but I don't.

Maybe I'm expecting too much from a 6 month old but I just really can't help thinking if everybody can get a smile out of him but not me then there's something wrong with me as a mother.

I want to hear similar experiences and stories from fellow mamas. Did it happen to you? When did things change? Did you baby eventually fell in love with you? 🥹

Is your Mother in Law like this?

So hear me out girls. It's about my MIL. I'm married for 3 years.Long distance marriage. My MIL is not your typical MIL who will say mean things or torment you for less dowry or force you/expect you to do all household works. Nope. Mine is a different kind.

She is the nicest person when you see from the outside. Never calls,me by my name only sweet words like mole, always chatty and telling jokes,

BUT BUT after a few days I started seeing right through her. I'll explain some instances -

  1. She'll take me out to buy clothes only to select everything herself. And she'll indirectly tell me what to wear to church by saying mole matte Udupp edutho njan iron cheyth vekkam.

  2. Whenever I offers help in the kitchen she tells.. saramilla njan cheytholam. One day njan balamayi said njan ee dish undakkam and she literally followed me n said put this put that n all. I eventually realised she doesn't want me to cook anything in her kitchen.

  3. This one might sound funny but I'm expected to be in the hall all day and not in my room cuz it is upstairs and I can only go there for sleeping. This is a silently established rule.

  4. If i stand up from where I'm sitting she'll literally ask me "entha... evide pokunnu.. entha eneette" n I'll answer- vellam kudikkan, bathroom povan etc. It's like I can't move around freely without being asked what n why.

  5. She literally make me eat so much food. Doesn't take no for an answer. Venda venda paranj last veruthitt nammal kazhichu povum.

  6. When we go out we have to be home by atleast 8 pm late ayal allel mugham maarum.

  7. She won't give value to any of my opinions.. enthoke paranjalum she'll do what she think is right (ith ok aan but not okay when it comes to me or my baby)

Ingane kure kure minute things which are suffocating but from the outside she's lovey dovey.

Ithellam sahich angane poykkond irunnapo without hating her (i disliked her on many things but didn't hate her) I had the biggest blow. my delivery happened prematurely. I had diabetes during that time n I was mindful of my diet. She literally said "I'mnot going to listen to you anymore about food you know nothing this happened because of all that food habits". She made that post partum period terrible. I had low milk supply and she would comment about that too. After my delivery I saw a meaner version of her who would ignore me completely and would only talk and care for the baby. She won't listen to me or respect my boundaries about my baby. Pakshe still calls me mole and $hit the next moment.

Husband understands me and stands with me so ath oru ashwasam. But ennalum I can't call him everyday to complain about his mom right? We are currently living with them and can't move out for atleast 5 years.

Girls my point is.. if she were this serial ammayiyamma I would've dealt with her better and easier. Pakshe ith ... Her behavior is toxic but I can't prove it enna pole. Snehathil pothinja toxicity u get what I mean? Ningalk undo ith pole ulla ammayamma.

I know this post is so damn long cuz I just wanted to vent. Sorry for that. Thanks for reading this much loves.

TLDR - My MIL is toxic but I can't prove it cuz she paints all her toxicity with love.
