ive been told by two doctors this doesn't need debridement

This stringy slough looking stuff has been covering my wound bed for 18 days since I've gotten my stitches removed. I went back to my surgeon to discuss my concerns and they said it doesn't need to come off and should come off on its own. I went to urgent care as well and they said this is a sign of healing and it should be closed in around a month. I'm really starting to get concerned and really just want to help this heal

should I go to a wound care clinic?

I have this wound from a surgical excision that is completely stalled in healing. This photo is 10 days post stich removal. I've seen zero progress despite doing what my surgeon instructed. (round of doxycycline for 10 days, rinsing in the shower water only, applying muiprocin and keeping it covered)

After my checkup today I expressed concern with this slough that's been covering my wound for about a week now and she suggested diluted vinegar soaks... we also did a wound culture to see if I need to be on a different antibiotic

I've been wearing hydrocolloid bandages in hopes to get it to budge but it is very strongly adhered. I've tried exfoliating in circles with gauze to see if it loosen and nothing. Do I skip the vinegar soaks and 2 week follow up planned with my surgeon and go to a wound care clinic or is this good advice?Very open to at home advice as well.

I'm very concerned with this. I've never had this kind of issue before

dehiscence after suture removal. mixed answers on how to care for wound

I had my stitches removed today 13 days after surgery for a lipoma removal. My instructions up until today were to wash with fragrance free soap twice a day, pat dry and cover with aquaphor and a bandage. I followed these instructions exactly as they were given and unfortunately ended up with a bit of an infection (impetigo). They've prescribed me mupirocin now (and I've been on doxycycline for 6 days, 4 to go) the wound looks to be coming apart. This incision site is on my left buttock.

I was instructed to apply the muiprocin over the steri strips and only clean with water from this point on.

Please tell me if this is the optimal course of action.

are these stitches ok after mohs surgery for lipoma removal?

Excision to remove 2.6cm lipoma was performed 4 days ago.

I'm mostly worried about the dark bunched up skin to the left. This is on my lower buttcheek.. I'm following the care instructions as they were given to me.

Wash 2x a day with unscented soap

Pat dry

Apply a thick layer of aquaphor and cover with a bandage.

I'm hoping to heal with as minimal scarring as possible.. does this look okay or should I give them a call?
