What a mess buying baseball tickets
I’ve been using StubHub for concerts for years. Never had an issue. If there ever was, once or twice, I got a credit. I buy 4 tickets (there’s seats 1-8 for sale), aisle seats. Everything says seats 1 through 4. When the tickets are transferred I get seats 1,2,5,6. Spent a good hour online with customer service past midnight, then he wants to call me, he says it will be escalated but I need to transfer them back to StubHub, which I did. Of course, I wake up this morning to nothing. I call them at 10am, game is at 1pm, second guy tells me to sit tight. It’s being escalated. Few minutes later I get an email saying my substitute tickets are ready, seats 5-8. After I explained to the first man (I could barely understand) I wanted aisle seats. I have 2 little kids and Constantly going in and out. So I open the tickets, it’s not 5,6,7,8 but 3,4,7,8. And I’m on the phone a third time with a third person I can barely understand. And she clearly could not understand my situation. Puts me on hold 10 minutes, has me transfer the tickets back again. Eventually I got the 1,2,3,4 seats that were advertised when I purchased them but damn I won’t be using them again. I was on the phone a total of longer than the actual baseball game. Any compensation? Of course not. It’s not worth the trouble, just go to the box office and take the shitty seats.
