Unsure if anyone else here has this issue e.g. if you’re AuDHD. I’m a girl, recently diagnosed with ADHD, still waiting for medication, but when I was getting diagnosed I wasn’t sure which to look at, either ADHD or autism, so I just picked the one I thought was more likely and I was right. Thing is, I have strict, traditional ethnic parents, who weren’t happy when they found out I did the ADHD assessment without them knowing/ that I have it at all as they can’t ’see it’. I’ve been told being on ADHD meds may reveal autism, but at this rate I don’t know when I’ll get the meds/ be able to afford them, so I’m struggling to know if it’s worth looking into an autism diagnosis or if i’m just noticing traits/symptoms that ADHD and autism have in common.
