It's already been shown Ciri will have undergone some form on the Witcher mutations for the Witcher 4. Opinions are mixed but I figured I'd throw another log into the fire.

After finishing the book series I realized that CDPR kinda retconned Ciri's destiny. In the Witcher 3 they say the prophecy is that Ciri is the chosen one. However, Ciri's SON is supposed to be the chosen one. That's why everyone is fighting over her in the books, they want to be the father of the chosen one.

What if her undergoing the trail of grasses is a way for her to cut ties with her destiny? It would make sense, it makes you irreversibly sterile. And what a glorious 'F you!" to her bloodline that would be. She's taking her bloodline away from every king, emperor, mage, etc. setting it on fire and walking away to be what she's always wanted to be, a Witcher.

I just arrived in Da Nang and decided that instead of turning into a lobster, I would get one of those long sleeve swim shirts I see a lot of guys wearing here.
