Continuing the Roosevelt Legacy - A Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. presidency
Lore: Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. manages to successfully win the Democratic nomination for governor of New York in 1954. He wins the gubernatorial election and was a very popular governor, winning a second term in 1958. He was seen as a good contender for president in 1960, so he decided to run for the nomination, winning a close race against John F. Kennedy, who he would choose as his vice president.
His presidency is very similar to that of John F. Kennedy’s in our timeline, however he prioritizes desegregation even harder than Kennedy did. Thanks to help from Senate Majority Leader Lyndon B. Johnson, he manages to pass a bill to end segregation in 1964, shortly after the election.
