I knew Loustat was endgame, but I was never particularly invested in it. I didn't hate it or anything, but I was pretty indifferent until this season and episode 6&7 in particular.

Holy shit. Their love is so beautiful. It's redeeming! And it's made me believe that not only can they have a great at loving relationship, but I think it might even end up being healthy and stable and emotionally supportive by human standards!

So just wanted to stop in and say that I am sorry for not being an avid Loustat shipper before, because this relationship is where it's fucking at.

So, I've loved this season, I think the writers and actors are incredible, and this is not about disappointment in the way Daniel has been written or played. Just to clarify that.

But goddamn, like -- I know everyone on this show is a bad person to different extents. I know they're all toxic and manipulative and shitty, but this season has really hammered home what a slimey guy Daniel is. His glee at Lestat's trauma when he thought he got juicy footage. Releasing 'revenge porn' of Lestat and his mom. That the bag-over-head was not the only really troubling sexual encounter he had. I feel like even in IWTV season 1, where Louis is just presenting a terrible picture of Lestat, we do get some likeable moments to contrast with the bad stuff. Hell, even Armand, who is probably the most terrifying vampire to me, because of the sheer scope and depth of his manipulation and abuse got some redeeming/more appealing moments this season, despite what he did to Larry being hella fucked up.

But I feel like this season, Daniel has really not had a lot that makes him likeable. He's obviously got some transformational trauma and Armand has 100% treated him like shit, but there's been so much "actually Daniel is a garbage person" that it makes me worry a little that he's going to be portrayed as closer to Gabriella (just the fucking worst, man) than an Louis or Lestat or Claudia type characterization going forward. Curious what everyone thinks?

(Sorry this post is all over the place -- finished this episode like 15 minutes ago, and goddamn I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.)

Anyone have any fun/cute IWTV memes, art, whatever, especially of Armand? Need something to cheer me up after this show once again makes me confront the fact that my sweet pookie is a Really Bad Guy

So, on the one hand, it does feel a little weird to suggest they publish a copy of Interview with the Vampire when Anne Rice's exists and is the original.

But also, the Talamasca has canonically edited and added things, and I also really struggle to believe Daniel would just publish this like a biography without some snarky editorializing of his thoughts, and I would really want to see those.

Honestly, if they released a "show edit" of the book, I would buy it 100%, but I'm curious what people think

This is my first concert since COVID, and I've been a little worried based on other posts about bad concert etiquette, but everyone was really friendly, chill, and overall respectful.

Also, people watching was so great!! You all really had the most amazing looks, whether it was costumes or concert gear or just really cool outfits (special shout-out to the girl with the stuffed monkey top. I thought it was cool as hell).

It was just such fantastic and warm vibes. My partner has never enjoyed a concert before, and he said that this has completely changed his opinion on them -- just so much fun and a great crowd.
