Child with red streaking along arm from small bump/insect bite? No pain, mild itching
Hi everyone,

A child developed a small bump/pimple-like lesion on the forearm about 1 days ago. Initially there was some redness around the bump, but then the redness seemed to spread in long streaks along the arm, following what looks like superficial vessels, extending toward the shoulder.

Symptoms:

- Started ~1 days ago
- No pain
- Mild irritation/itching, especially when touched
- No known injury or scratch
- No obvious insect bite noticed, but possible
- Small central bump with a tiny white point
- Red streaking around and beyond the area
- No fever so far

I've attached photos.

Could this be an allergic reaction/insect bite reaction, or should I be concerned about lymphangitis or another infection? What signs would make this urgent?

Thanks for any advice.
