Pretty obvious but still want to make a submission
Anyone else love the feeling of blood pressure cuffs? What other things that can provide similar sensations?
It's genuinely one of my favorite sensations. The pressure feels so comforting. It's like a hug minus the person! It's also oddly nice when it pinches a little. I find it very grounding.
Obviously, the feeling only lasts for a couple seconds, and it will cut off your circulation if you leave it on for too long. I know I'm not the only autistic person who enjoys physical pressure. So do you guys use any other objects or activities to get this sensation? I'm thinking of getting myself a chest binder mostly because it would feel comfortable, although I also like to look masculine.
My septum is so low I'm scared it's gonna just fall out
I got this done three months ago. I don't think it was initially pierced that low. I'm guessing it sank down because of the weight of the jewelry. Am I cooked?? 😭
Ask a stupid question and I'll give you a serious answer
Anyone else's parents blame mental health on nutrition?
I'm late diagnosed autistic and have been struggling with all kinds of stuff (depression, anxiety, etc) for basically my whole life. Lately, I've been sleeping a lot more, withdrawing from my family, and spending hours on my phone. So it seems to my mom as if my mental health is declining. Inside, strangely, I feel a lot healthier than I have in the past. However, she's constantly telling me I'm "working against myself" and "regressing." I've been vegetarian for 9 years. She seems to think the majority of my mental health issues would magically resolve if I changed my diet and ate more protein. Nutrition absolutely plays a role in mental health; that's a fact. But it's not the only factor. Far from it. And I'm doing the best I can with my diet, especially since I've struggled with disordered eating in the past. So her comments really frustrate me. She's a great mom, and I don't want to ruin my relationship with her, but her presence makes me feel physically ill these days. I usually stay silent when she's yelling at me, but today I kinda let some stuff loose. I've been in therapy for 2.5 years, including 3 months of IOP. My mom has some struggles of her own, and I've suggested many times that she sees a therapist. Today, I told her that I won't work with her until she works on herself. Needless to say, things got heated.
Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation?
