InMusic closes Native Instruments' UK office amid leadership changes

"InMusic has closed Native Instruments' UK office as the company restructures the music technology brand following its acquisition earlier this year.

A source confirmed the news to Resident Advisor today, August 13th, revealing that all UK-based employees are facing imminent redundancy. Amid speculation around the layoffs, a spokesperson told MusicRadar the company is "simplifying" its "organisational and legal structure, including Native Instruments UK" as part of its integration of the firm.

InMusic acquired Native Instruments in May, following the Berlin-based company's entry into preliminary insolvency proceedings earlier this year. The acquisition brought Native Instruments into the same group as Moog, Akai Professional, Rane, Denon DJ, Numark and Alesis.

InMusic told MusicRadar that Native Instruments remains "a strategically important part" of the company and that product development is continuing, with new hardware and software initiatives planned for 2027 and beyond."

Two SF Tickets Available :-(

Hi Team, long time listener and lucky to have seen them before, but i've been ill and not able to make it tonight sadly, mostly due to the long drive. If I could magically transport to the venue or SF it would be no problem.

Thus I have 2 tickets available. If anyone is interested, please lmk, here or via DM. I hope this is ok to post.

Bradford's love of Pylon & Andy Butler on KCRW

back in the day, Bradford loved to share Pylon on the blog. Totally unrelated with no reference to our fav band, but you got to here this mix:

Andy Butler has Pylon singer on this special blend for KCRW. As a huge Bradford fan and a House and Techno Dj for some 30 years now, this brought a smile to my ears.

Broadcast - Green Peter (Circa 2011)

Mentioned only twice in this sub. This is an absolute stunning late-era Broadcast monster that is very under the radar.

I remember when this was released, but can't find any links to it as a "news" item. I was able to grab the MP3 at the time.

According to a comment in this video "Drums- Neil Bullock." posted by Neil.

If anyone has more info on this please share.

"Peter Green was a founder of Fleetwod Mac so I imagine it’s an homage. One of their best, Albatross is written by him." quoting myself from 6 years ago lol.

Happy Happy Joy Joy USA Support Acts?

Allo! I was lucky to have seen Orb on the Happy Happy Joy Joy Tour of the USA in San Francisco as a young teenager. Simply awesome of course.

My question is about the support act that was playing in the lobby of the Warfield. It was a a bunch of live jamming, with visuals and mindblowing fun.

This was set up in the lobby where anyone could stand right next to one of the many stations while they jammed the f out. DJ Lewis played on the main stage as the warm up (dropped blue calx over some tidy beats!) .

Anyone have any info on this is much appreciated. :-)
