15 Years of Calcium! 🥳🎉🎊 ||Calne Ca - 15th Memorial by Union Creative

Picked her up in Japan, and of course only *after* getting back home I looked her up and saw people were having tons of QC issues with her fragility and poor eye paint. While her eyes are a *little* derpy, honestly she's a very nice figure, and even her eyes can be mostly ignored by just slightly angling her (like I did in the photos). She also survived being just checked-in in a duffel bag with some clothes "padding" her since she was too big to fit in my luggage lol, so I personally wouldn't be *super* worried about her breaking in transport.

As for the figure herself, derp eyes aside she's *VERY* pretty. I unfortunately don't have any other Calne Ca figures to compare her to on account of the just *brutal* aftermarket prices for her figs, but I'm very pleased at how this figure captures her. It really captures how her design sort of feels both very frail yet simultaneously extremely imposing at the same time. Her sculpt and paint are both very on point, and while some of the larger mechanical panels are a *tad* plain, imo they balance out very well with her much more detailed body and especially her head. The base also has this really nice high gloss finish to it alongside the gold print commemorating her 15th anniversary, so despite it seeming like just a black slab it still feels pretty nice.

Overall while very pricey, she's both a wonderful piece for the 15th anniversary of Calne Ca and a pretth good figure by herself. The *only* real flaw is the eyeline issue, which tbf I can totally see being a dealbreaker at her price, but as someone who LOVES Calne Ca the options were either that or shell out double for one of the (let's be honest here) much less impressive figures of her instead, so I'm glad I went for this one. Her shelf presence is great, she's (relatively) affordable in comparison to her other figures, and even devoid of context she's just a cool design imo.

Really really stoked I managed to get her, she was definitely the highlight pickup of my trip to Japan 👍

Lovely little bunny - Kafun 1/7 "Trick Bunnies" Standing Bunny by Kotobukiya

Super stoked to finally have her in! I know there was some disappointment that you only get one of the girls for the price, but imo she's totally worth it.

She's got really good scultping and paint ESPECIALLY on her latex. Doesn't come across super well on camera but her latex has some really nice shading around the stretched areas that kind of emulates being able to see through stretched latex to the skin beneath, plus there's tons of very realistic wrinkles in the latex where it bends.

Her base is also pretty nice, I really appreciate how easy it was to put together and that I didn't have to fight the figure to get it on as well. Plus she comes with a nice little card showcasing her concept/reference art.

Overall she's a little pricey but I'm very happy with her. Very pretty and sexy figure, not to mention that it's pretty rare to get these types of figures with sanpaku eyes.

Where there's a Will - SHF Metaphor: ReFantazio Protagonist

Had a chance to pick this up on clearance last week while in Japan. I'm typically not the biggest fan of SHF figures and find them especially lacking in articulation, but Will here is actually surprisingly mobile, especially for such a seemingly restrictive design. He's got a pretty decent ab crunch, *really* good leg and arm articulation, and can even sit cross legged which was a big surprise to me.

His detailing is also pretty good, really solid paint apps all around and I especially like the finish they used for his leggings. The elbows are a *bit* ugly but otherwise even the joints look really good which is not something I've experienced from other SHF I own.

He's a bit lacking in accessories, only coming with a sword, a sword with a peg on it for sword surfing, the handle of the sword for the sheath, his bag, 3 face plates, and like 6 hands total with 2 of them being exclusively left hands. Really wish he came with a Gallica or something.

Really glad I got him on sale for like $25 though cause despite being pretty solid he is absolutely ***NOT*** worth the $100 MSRP lmao. Idk what they were thinking with his price.

Hestia's Still Bestia

Picked her up alongside Ais, and I know it's so that she has a nice sculpt but MAN her skirt and ribbon just absolutely MURDER any articulation she has. It's such a hassle to move her arms and legs anywhere even remotely natural.

I will say though she does look very good. Due to the cuts made to articulation her paint and sculpt are pretty near flawless, and her face plates are incredibly charismatic and expressive. She also comes with a fairly decent suite of accessories, including a mug, toothbrush, and Jagamarukun(potato croquette).

I will say she feels a tad overpriced at $90/¥9900, but as a fan of the series ofc I had to pick her and Ais up to entice them to make more figs in this line lol. A pretty servicible figure that unfortunately sacrifices a lot of articulation for aesthetics.

The Sword Princess- Revoltech Ais Wallenstein

Picked her up earlier this week while I was in Japan. Although she has *very* nice sculpt and paint work and is surprisingly articulate for her design, she's not quite as posable as a proper Yamaguchi sculpted Revo fig would be, which is a bit of a bummer. Especially with the head, she has these two hair protrusions towards near the base of her head that clash with her collar and arms frequently, it's pretty annoying to work around.

That said though, she's still a very enjoyable figure and really fun to mess around with. Really appreciate that she comes with that PET(?) plastic sheet effect part. Hoping we get a Bell from Revoltech to pair with her and Hestia. Also genuinely cannot believe it's taken this long to get proper articulated figures of this series </3
