I think Nia and Danny are using this as an excuse and escape thinking people are focussed on Danny drinking whereas the real issue everyone has with him is his actions when he is drunk. So can someone in the friend group please explain that the issue is not that Danny drinks (less or more than others in the group) but how he acts after that.

I think it's also doesn't help that everyone is like Danny changes when he drinks instead of addressing the actual problem which is the behavior. If Danny can be funny drunk I don't think any one of them would care even if he has issues with alcohol.

Also I dont think he acts like this only when he is drunk. I think the way he feels about Nias role in their marriage, theur true colors comes out when he is drunk because he cannot control himself. That's actually his true self.

Also I feel Danny has SDE. He knows Nia is too good for him so he has to act like a boss to hold her under him. He doesn't realize that treating her nicely would be more beneficial than this. Even when he sat on the patio the next day after the runway show in SD, he had this smug on his face and was doing everything because Nia asked him to do. Not because he genuinely felt sorry for it.

Lastly whats up with - I have apologized now move on - that line worked last season but you cannot keep doing it and just apologize.

I think Iryna suffers from undiagnosed post partum depression. I feel initially she tried to cover it up by just immersing herself in childcare and family to keep dwity happy but that would still show up in moods and when dwity started going out and having his parties I think iryna felt her effort for the family wasn't even worth it and completely detached. I really feel therapy and meda for post partum depression would help Iryna. She just seems overall unhappy with or without dwity. With or without kids. Also the expectation and responsibilities as a mom for an Indian and someone raised in a more western culture especially with Irynas not ideal childhood is so different.

For her kids being taken care of is enough and for dwity the mom has to take care of the kids.

Seriously everyone on this show recommeds everyone but a professional therapist to solve their problem.

And these are supposedly educated, working people smart enough to be M/Billionaires.

The worst and least expected was the twins - who so far into episode 4 seem to be calmest, being passive aggressive at times but atleast not aggressive aggressive - asking iryna to talk to an aura healer instead of a professional trained therapist.

What are these people on ? And before you say Indians look down upon it, let me say it's nit true anymore especially among the upper class. Infacf a lot of people from tier 1 and 2 indian cities regularly go to therapists.

Of all the people the only one who actually recommended a therapist was dwitys mom.

Just watched Episode 1 of Desi Bling and I genuinely cannot figure out if this show is real or semi scripted or fully scripted with bad acting 😭

I have seen some episodes of Dubai Bling and Bling Empire before but this feels very different and honestly a bit odd. Everything seems so over the top in a very artificial way. I havent watched the full series yet so maybe later episodes explain things better but these were my Episode 1 thoughts

1. 1stly do rich Indians in Dubai actually live like this or is this exaggerated for TV ? Even Bollywood Wives felt tame compared to this.

2. I cannot believe some of these people are supposedly millionaires/billionaires. Especially Satish Sanpal. They must clearly be smart in real life but on the show he comes across as cringe and immature. He doesn’t really come across as good looking, charming, charismatic or intelligent on TV.

3. The men all having the exact same beard and perfect hairline combo looks ridic and the women with their full face make up and dyed and fried blonde hair.

4. I had zero background on Karan and Teja and never watched their Bigg Boss season. But they came across like wannabes trying to fit into billionaire circles. Their storyline confused me too. They moved to Dubai to do what exactly ? Film this show?

5. The Holi party felt completely fake and staged. They presented it like some huge annual event but there were barely any people there. If they didn’t want to show actual guests they could’ve still filmed it differently without making it look empty.

6. The girls looking people up on Instagram and Teja talking through a handkerchief. I was like whats happening. are they really 30 yr old socialites ?

7. The yacht party was peak cringe. The 4 women dressed like palm trees randomly dancing around the men was just awkward. If THAT is what they mean when they say SSS likes partying with girls then I understand why Tabinda isn’t threatened 😂

8. The doctor revealing her cancer scare also felt very inserted and not organic.

9. Teja honestly feels like she is acting in every single scene. Also her telling Pammi to get over it made no sense without proper context. I will say I appreciated her honesty about trying to keep up with the millionaires/billionaires instead of pretending she’s on the same level as them.

10. The only person who actually felt real to me was the Ukrainian wife. Her husband seems like the type who thinks he can do whatever he wants while expecting her to stay home, raise the kids and just be happy with it. At least their storyline felt somewhat genuine compared to everything else.

Anyway these are just my Episode 1 thoughts. Curious if other people felt the same way 😂
