Need clarity on auto-delete on inactivity? What is considered inactivity?

I'm reading that if my account is inactive for 3 months for free or 3 years, my data will be auto-deleted as per EU law.

But, what exactly is considered inactivity?

  1. All I want is to upload and access whenever needed. When I want to access it is not fixed, could be daily for a few days or not at all for several years.

  2. On my PC, I log in to this account and never log out. But may never open the web app unless needed (as mentioned in point 1). Is that considered inactive?

  3. On my Android, same way as on my PC, I log in to this account and never log out. But may never open the app. Is that considered inactive?

  4. I don't have many files to upload or edit to show activity.

  5. Do I need to actually open the web app or Android app to show activity?

I love Filen, but want to use it as on-demand/passive storage.

Feature Request: View only mode for plain text and similar files

This is a peculiar but simple request

The problem: I save or upload a .txt or .md file on Filen. Whenever I want to view it, I click on it, but it opens in editor mode (even though I chose preview).

I want it to open in view-only (reader) mode to avoid accidental changes.

I use Notepad++ to make short, important notes (no more than 10 lines) and upload them to view on different devices.

Got two questions about cloud sync

  1. Which free cloud service are you using to sync with Joplin? What I'm looking for is:
  • Free
  • Secure (Joplin encrypts it, so it may look like overkill, but I also want to use that service to store some of my sensitive information files directly)
  • Automatic sync without any issues
  • I can compromise on storage, even 500MB is more than enough.
  • I cannot self-host
  1. If I add attachments to an encrypted Joplin note. Does that attachment also get encrypted on whichever cloud service without any issues? Can that data be accessed by the service provider?

Deciding on organization of storage and how much capacity to buy

I'm currently on end-of-life Win10 and a single 1TB SSD for everything. I was gonna upgrade my build fully, so decided to might as well organize and streamline the storage too.

What I'm thinking is to buy one SSD each for system, data, and games.

C drive 256GB: Windows, system updates, all applications

D drive 1TB (my current SSD): Folders of downloads, documents, programming projects (nothing else)

G drive 1TB: Games

I only keep one game for modding like GTA or Fallout, and 2 single player games at a time.

Are this enough storage?

Half the post here are phone suggestions. Seriously? It's stupid.

Seriously, stop. Most phones have similar specifications in the same cost bracket, watch youtube and find out yourself.

How does billing date work if I add my postpaid phone to BLACK bundle?

I've a Wi-Fi + DTH connection under BLACK, billing date 18th of the month

I've a separate mobile postpaid connection, billing date 24th of the month

If I add my mobile postpaid to my existing BLACK
What will be my billing date?

How does that work?

Airtel vs Jio vs Vi Postpaid for family plan (1 + 1)

For personal reasons, I've lost trust in prepaid numbers, so I'm looking for postpaid only.

It's for my sister and me, for our existing numbers (no new SIM to be bought). Both of our numbers are in Airtel prepaid for now. My alternate number is Vi postpaid.

I have Airtel broadband and a DTH connection at home.

I don't care about the freebies that come with packs. Only care for quality per money.

Which 1 + 1 family packs are good? I checked Jio family back, but it was confusing, it said "up to 3 members" for both 449/month and 749/month plans(Jio doesn't charge more per SIM?), while Airtel and Vi increase plan cost per SIM member (650/month for 2 SIMs).
