CAPE Rally at PMO - July 6
Did anyone attend the CAPE rally at PMO this morning? If so, what was the turnout like?

I’m hoping I can exclude this from the patch megathread because it’s stick season related… does anyone have the everywhere, everything patch?
This is going to sound like an insane request but if anyone does, would someone be willing to take a picture of it in good lighting and send it to me? Or even if you have a link to somewhere that does have a photo that would be great too! Everywhere, everything is mine and my fiancé’s wedding song and I would really like to knit it into a sweater but I cannot seem to find a photo of it anywhere!
Okay, I’m going to sound a little crazy here but this has been a months-long battle. I have wanted the oak leaf family tree pattern from Julie Weisenberg ever since I saw it. Specifically I wanted the oak leaf motif WITH THE ACORNS. Of course, this is an old pattern that is no longer in print, I haven’t been able to find a version for sale (or at least any that are for sale that yielded a response), my library doesn’t have a copy , my local knitting guild doesn’t have a copy either. I tore apart my grandma’s knitting book stash to see if she had it in there somewhere because she has everything.
Knitting fool also appears to have had the cable pattern removed as well due to an email complaint about copyright infringement.
I know there’s an oak leaf pattern with acorns in the “New styles of heirloom knitting”, but that is also out of print as well.
Anyways, when I get stuck on something I can’t let it go. So I have looked all over ravelry for a pattern with the motif but the ones I’ve found are a little different and not really what I was looking for. Sure I could adjust it, but if I’m paying for the motif I would rather just get what I want right off the bat.
So one night I was having trouble getting to sleep and decided to try an internet Time Machine on knitting fool to see if I could find an archived version.
And there she was. I. WIN. The acorns and oak leaves are MIIIIINE!!

Colleagues,
In line with the Treasury Board Secretariat's (TBS) announcement on February 5, 2026, executives have been required to work onsite five days per week since May 4. The Government has now confirmed that, as of July 6, 2026, all other employees eligible for hybrid work will be required to work onsite four days per week.
Following the announcement, TBS met with bargaining agents to discuss how best to support employees, including workspace needs, equipment, duty-to-accommodate obligations, and health and safety. A strong theme from these discussions was the importance of assigned seating, where possible, to support teamwork. As a result, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) will be moving towards an assigned seating model for most of our employees in the long term.
At ECCC, we operate across approximately 90 locations nationwide, each with different operational realities. Because of this diversity, variations in timelines, space configurations, and workspace allocation are expected. ECCC will be able to have employees back four days in most buildings; however, there are a few locations where a phased approach will be needed and employees who work in those offices will be contacted directly with additional information next week.
We know this transition requires flexibility, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and professionalism as we finalize the approach for each building and each floor.
Deputy Minister
I’m down by parliament and I can hear basically non-stop fire truck sirens and smell burning plastic but can’t see where they’re headed/what could be on fire.
Hopefully nothing big.
The fact they had to create a French version too is SO funny 😭
