hi friends, i will be attending my first ren faire at the end of the month! i’ll be going to bristol with a friend.

i was wondering—outside of the ticket price—how much should i budget? i want to limit myself in how much money i spend because i can get a little careless sometimes and i need money boundaries. i will say that i don’t drink alcohol, so i don’t need to worry about spending money on that, but i think our plan is to spend basically the whole day there, so i will need to plan for food for sure.

please let me know if you all have any insight on this! thank you in advance!

i have had nitro for YEARS. like, at least 6 years at this point. however, i never gave into the more expensive nitro option when discord started rolling that out.

however, the only thing you really get from normal nitro now is being able to use emojis everywhere. everything else like decorations, certain perks, etc. is only available to those who buy the more expensive nitro, which kind of sucks. at this point, i don’t even want to pay for regular nitro anymore because it’s basically useless.

what are everyone else’s thoughts on this? i remember a time when normal nitro got you everything!

i’m planning on moving to Madison from the La Crosse area next spring (April/May-ish). i’ve been looking for apartments, and i was wondering if anyone more acquainted with Madison may have suggestions on where to and where not to look.

some specifics: i do have a cat, and while i’d prefer a two-bed, one bed is fine. i’d rather not settle for a studio. i’m trying to stay $1,200 and lower. i would much prefer washer and dryer in unit or in building, but that’s not a huge dealbreaker.

i’ve looked at The Canyons already and they seem good, but i need some insider info! thank you in advance :)

edit: i don’t have a specific place in Madison i’d like to live, but i am an artist and planning to go into tattooing, not sure if that helps at all!

hi friends, i’m auditioning for a 24-hour musical version of putnam in a couple of weeks and i’m not sure what exactly i want to sing. i’m not really gunning for any particular male role, though i would prefer a speller over mitch or panch.

my idea currently is to sing the miracle of judaism from falsettos, since that is also william finn and i’ll take any excuse to sing falsettos music, but i’m sure there’s a better option? i also have repertoire from shrek, tuck everlasting, pippin, and more.

it’s nice to have simplified, shorter tickets, but i hate that value baskets aren’t grouped together anymore, not even on the screens!! we started the simplified tickets today and we also had issues with “extra crispy” not showing up on some tickets. is anyone else having a hard time switching to these?
