3rd Month wedding Anniversary Lunch/Early Dinner – Chicken & Veg options only – Under $150 for 2?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are celebrating our 3rd-month wedding anniversary this Sunday (May 10th). We’re heading into Manhattan from Jersey City/Newport. Since it’s going to be a rainy day, we’re looking for a nice spot to have a late lunch or early dinner. We’d love somewhere with a bit of a "celebration" vibe but not something so formal that it's exhausting (Monday is a work day!). Dietary: We only eat chicken and vegetarian options (no beef, pork, or seafood). Budget: Around $120–$150 total for the two of us. Vibe: Romantic but relaxed. Ideally something bookable on Resy/OpenTable so we don't have to wait in the rain but should have some interesting fusion food? We haven't tried many cuisines apart from standard ones like indian, italian, Mediterranean, thai so curious what the reccos will be!! We were thinking Lower Manhattan for easy PATH access, but open to other neighborhoods if they're worth the trip! Any hidden gems with great chicken or veggie dishes? Thanks in advance!

"Hi! I'm based in Jersey City and have been searching all day for the right salon. I have straight hair (South Asian texture — medium dense, naturally straight, some frizz from color) and I'm looking for a proper cut after a year — the kind that falls perfectly with minimal effort, looks great air-dried, and grows out cleanly. Basically a wash-and-wear precision cut. My budget is up to $200 including blowout and tip. I'm happy to travel to East Village, West Village, SoHo, Chelsea or stay local in Hoboken. I've looked at Shampoo Avenue B (felt rushed at West Village), Harueh (language barrier concern), Salon Gatto Hoboken, IGK SoHo, Cutler, Nagi Hair, Formyhair and Three Degrees. None have fully convinced me yet. I have real trust issues with hairdressers — I need someone who actually listens, does a proper consultation, doesn't rush, and whose portfolio shows variety rather than one signature look. Japanese salons appeal to me for the dry-cutting technique on straight hair but language barrier is a concern.

Has anyone had a genuinely amazing precision cut experience at any of the above — or somewhere I haven't considered? Specific stylist names are gold. Thank you!

Jersey City based here. After a year I'm finally getting a proper haircut and want to get it right. Straight thick hair, looking for a wash-and-wear precision cut — something that looks good with zero effort and grows out well. Budget up to $200. I've looked at Salon Gatto and Bond Salon in Hoboken — both seem solid but their socials are mostly promotional so hard to judge actual cut quality. Has anyone been to either recently for a cut specifically (not colour)? Specific stylist recs would be amazing. Also open to crossing into NYC — East/West Village, SoHo, Chelsea all accessible for me via PATH. Real experiences only please — I've done all the Yelp research already!
