People that used PPF, gloss/matte, what’s the maintenance like?

Hi for those that applied PPF please give your experience
Both gloss / matte
Maintenance: polishing? Or will that damage the wrap? I’ve seen many contradicting answers.

Wear & tear?
How’s the visibility of scratches, damages from gloss vs matte perspectives?
What are some “how to care” for the wrap tips you can give me?

Thank you again!

Autopilot or cruise control on BYD?

I’m confused with what BYD is offering in terms of self driving, does it have real autopilot similarly to Tesla?
The god’s eye software publishing online?
Or is it just lane assist and cruise control?

Those that have tried both please give your feedback.

TLDR is BYD real autopilot(Tesla) or not

Just placed order for Tesla but need insight on bidding

I just placed an order at Tesla
Guaranteed COE bid. $118k. I’m confused what the structure is like, do they know the price of COE for this round of bidding BEFORE it’s actually released?
How do they top up the shortfall (if they choose to) meaning they have already bidded higher?

And if I miss this bidding, I’m hearing they might ask to top up, if I choose to, do I get the car right away?
They successfully bidded COE but just not at my price?

Explain to me like I’m 5 and a golden retriever.

People who have bought older Tesla Model 3, opinions and what to look out for

I want to buy a Model 3. Used and older, at least 7 years old.

Is battery health below 70/80% a big issue?
I’m seriously considering and hope those who have it can shed some light on owning one that old or with a weaker battery.

Does it have shelf life? For example it being completely useless at 50% battery health etc

How much are you all paying for your liabilities? (Cars, etc)

Specifically what % of your household income is into these liabilities?
I’ve seen people pay up to 30% or more. But some goes as low as 5-10%, my numbers might be wrong but feel free to share yours if convenient!

I’ll go first
Cars 10%
House monthly mortgage 20%
Expenses roughly 20%

EDIT: Yes house is considered a liability (to me at least) based on you’re taking a loan for it and paying an interest.
% based off net pay so after CPF.
But whichever la not particular, just looking for ballpark.

Thanks for all the replies, seems like most are doing 5-10%

Prices of Audi Q4 E Tron seemed abit off

Noticing the Q4 E Tron in Sgcarmart to be priced at a depreciation of 21-22k / year, similar to the typical BYD/Teslas.
But brand new it’s going for 350k, while 1 year old Q4 is going for 220k.
Anyone have any idea what’s up with the discrepancy? Terrible car till people lowball sell?

People driving it - how’s the car? Any problems with it like the Mercedes EV?

BYD SEALION 7 VS TESLA MODEL Y

very keen on changing to one of the above.
For context family of 4.
Prefer SUV.

Just weighing the pros and cons and can’t seem to settle.
Initial thoughts are:
Tesla is a better tech company and has better design for the car, constant update of software features and safety is great too.
Cons is it’s roughly 30k more expensive than the BYD.

Comparing both Cat A models.

BYD has a better price and more perks, also it’s cheaper.
The interior of the BYD also looks great with the nice seats while Tesla’s look cheap.

For those that are driving either, and any that have switched over or tried both, please give me your thoughts and opinions.

Functionality, convenience, drivability, and comfort is very important!
