I guess this is better than not saying anything...?

I don't think "better late than never" cuts it after two to three weeks of disruptions.

I really don't see how they bounce back from this. Trust is shot for most customers, especially those that signed up amidst this chaos.

Funny enough, I got an email from MS just two days ago asking for referrals. The reward was a free pizza. LOL

What I don’t get…

Looks like this week was a massive clusterfuck for much of BA’s customer base. Instead of sending out boxes with the majority of, and in most cases vital, ingredients missing, why didn’t they just halt operations for a week or two and send a mass email to customers saying they’re in between providers and this week they were unable to provide the service that we’ve come to expect.

Even after several months of head scratching deliveries on their part which came to a head this week, I would have for sure respected and understood them more if they were at least up front and honest about what’s happening with the company and what they’re doing to better position themselves for sustained success going forward. Instead, they opted to deliver a big FUCK YOU to people who have already been biting the bullet for a while now hoping they’ll finally turn things around.

Im sure Im not the only one, but this week was truly the last straw. The company clearly no longer cares about us, so why should we continue to give them our money?

Counter Taco Mac & Cheese

Believe this was $5.99 on sale (Pavilions in SoCal).

Has a slight kick, which I like.

Microwaved (only option). Pasta held up pretty well with some chew and the crumbled beef stayed fairly firm. Just wish there were more diced peppers and I didn’t see any onion.

Overall, fairly decent for 350 calories and 30g of protein. Will try other options when I find them on sale.

Hertz Prepaid Fuel is a Scam

I’ve only rented from Hertz a couple of times, but you’d think I would have learned my lesson after the first time.

With my Delta status, I get upgraded to Presidents Club. Not sure if that actually matters, but seems like with each reservation I am forced to accept prepaid fuel without anyway to opt out on the app (or web browser). Seems like the only solution is to stand in line upon arrival and request the removal.

I picked up my rental on Saturday evening, fairly late. Completely blanked on needing to request the removal of the prepaid fuel option, so grabbed the car and off I went. That’s totally on me.

Returned the car today with still nearly three quarters of a tank of fuel, knowing I’d still be hit with the prepaid fuel charge. What I wasn’t expecting was for it to be over $100.

I get gas is up everywhere, but location I’m at is averaging just over $4 per gallon. This means I’d be around $60 to $65 if I was on empty. And prepaid fuel is typically less than the going average.

I’m so mad at myself, but also frustrated that Hertz gets away with making this more work than necessary to opt out. This is almost as bad as canceling SiriusXM. 😂
