Got booked 0 clue what to play.

To start, I play mostly 127-145 tech and minimal house mostly, garage and really the generic popular dance music(prospa, baker, stassy, Kettama )if I’m being honest ,For context, this is a friend, I’m doing it for free, not much pressure so don’t give me the whole “don’t take a gig if it doesn’t suit you stuff”
Friends are opening a Pilates studio, 50% of the grand opening is just hangout socializing , easy. They will be doing an hour and a half sculpt and shape “class” and that’s where I’m stuck, they said they wanted “house” music but that’s such a broad term, then when I go to find videos of classes with DJs or music it’s all over the place. So I plan now to send her 2 different genre videos of Pilates DJs I found, one minimal deep , one very poplar techy prospa cloone kinda house, and I plan to ask her who she thinks is of when she says house.(I’ll play summit and dolla idc )If you just pulled up though what is your idea of what I should be spinning for Pilates? (I’m very much a runner and lifter and not a yoga Pilates type of guy)

Is an XDJAN awful idea

Flx4 has been beaten into the dirt
Hate being laptop bound
Rr is too slow and dated for how much people want for even a used one and prices aren’t gonna go down.

Pros
Fast load
Touchscreen

Cons
Basically the biggest pro is the AN is modern quick and performance wise and it’s an all in one system for$1200 the only thing I HATE is how much the screen is used for fx(need that dub echo tho )
No 2 USB’s , I wonder if any adapter or anything will solve this issue seems absurd and I mean sure I can use laptop when I play w friends but what’s the point. I will not use streaming besides maybe to handoff without stopping music.
No booths out, I really don’t gig like this doesn’t kill it for me but just whack!
Loop encoder i find myself tapping the “in” a lot especially on songs I don’t know looking for a point to loop, feel like encoder will have me panicking when setting loops in songs I’m unfamiliar with.
(No I don’t wanna save up for an rx3, not the biggest fan of used gear people beat their gear and smoke near it, only want to buy pio )
Also before leaving major thought, I am working on over time making a dj table In my house for my two turn tables and I want to collect digital players (likely xdj1000s or around that budget) along with a bigger mixer so that’s on the horizon over the next year, XDJAN would be my new daily driver and for friends and party’s(if they lemme do two USB’s)
Thoughts or suggestions ?

Laptop in heat

DJing for a decent time 9-1 outside in a parking lot, awesome gig, will be under the shade of the building at that time plus my tent. I worry about my MacBook overheating even being protected in the shade. I have a stand to separate it from the table and I’m thinking about buying a cooling pad. Any Florida or 90 degree plus friends have any input on how much shade really helps and if the pad is worth the purchase? Using m1 air

My backup thoughts and options
Homie uses his laptop his first hour, switch to bt input for one song (electrovoice pa) switch to my MacBook and do my hour and use it for the last couple hours and if it does fry I’ll have my usb synced onto my iPad and my phone worst case

What would make you want to go to a new Party?

I’ve been producing and doing music related things such as music videos for a long time now, over the last year or more I’ve become a hardcore bedroom DJ. Ready to take the next step past playing for friends and small party’s. We have friends in a very good location in town with a pretty popular record store, they have hosted a couple dj events but nothing to the essence of what we want to do vibe wise. The Space Probably Fits 100 people max, i would literally feel so amazed if 50 people showed up. We would get to host in that space for free.

So we’ve got all the proper things, lights, sound, DJs, a t shirt, branding etc. We are playing mainly Trance and Progressive House (IE: Artists Like jamesjamesjames) into closing with a bit Harder House UKG Bassline (Kettama, ICP, Heavier Fred Again Tracks) , We really want to push the boiler room vibe with the style of presentation and how we feel the crowd is a major part of the party. We don’t wanna do the try hard techno matrix look either.
.
If you were someone I was trying to advertise this event to, what kind of things stick out to you that make you want to go to a party where you may be unfamiliar with the DJs performing / the whole brand in General. We have a lot of promo planned and professional photo ideas, but any advice would be awesome!
