Blown away by GenPHA from Ambrosia

Decided to take my chances with Ambrosia’s PHA which is made by Ecogenesis. Incredible results from my very first print. Granted, I had some help from Claude AI with choosing my settings but the matte finish and durability are fantastic.

This print is a dog toy/puzzle and naturally fits with the benefits of this filament. If the price comes down even further and even more colors are introduced, I could see this as being my primary filament. I’m hoping the lack of stock is only temporary.

Ecogenesis (u/Overall_Habit7754), if you ever want me to test out more of your samples on my Snapmaker U1, just say the word. ;)

Really liking PHA print quality so far

Printing a large dog toy which would benefit from PHA’s qualities. First few layers are going down like butter. Bought it from Ambrosia. They make great ASA too.

What are these strange lines coming from the origin?

I find them almost impossible to get rid of. I moved the prime tower, started over with a new project file, changed a bunch or parameters, etc. The only thin that ended up working was changing the width of the tower itself.

Panda Breath and Popcap causing board failures on the Snapmaker U1? Or unrelated?

I started printing some ASA flower pots after installing the BIQU Popcap and Panda Breath. I printed five or so beautiful flower pots. They were flawless. On the sixth pot, I started getting a bunch of errors mid-print that point to this issue already identified by the Snapmaker wiki.

Considering I’ve only been printing with this setup for a week or so, do you think active chamber heating with the BIQU products caused the main control board to going out? Or is this just coincidental? Once I get a replacement board, should I be hesitant to use active chamber heating again? Should I return the Popcap and Panda Breath? Is the Snapmaker just not built for that?

Main MCU board failing. Could it be related to active chamber heating?

Should I stop it? I was using PETG support interface and I guess I didn’t understand that I needed to customize the tower settings. Is there a way to separate the materials in the tower?
