Am having a dilema and conversation with a dev I work with.

He doesn't want icons to have internal padding and has built the components without it. However all of out figma icons do, and we've defined 5 boundary box sizes where the icon sits inside.

Tbh I prefer not having internal padding, as it is cleaner to use even from a design perspective when aligning itmes etc.

However all design systems seem to use icons with internal padding, and guidance also says this. For example, Google Material UI recommends to have 24x24px frames for the icons and that you add padding so that your icon is 20x20px inside the frame

Any opinionated thoughts I can gather? Thanks!

For people properly using code connect,

• how much of your design system is connected? All of the components?
• A lot of the workload seems to be creating some parity between figma components and codebase components. Sometimes we have a 1:2 relationship of codebase:figma components. How much parity do you create?
• What is your workflow for it?

I’ve gone to pump up my front wheel and when I go above ~60 PSI I’m hearing a crackling noise.

I can’t remember when I last topped up the sealant. I’m pretty sure it was less than 5 months ago but am now doubting it as have had knee surgery in between.

Any ideas of what it could be? And if a sign more sealant needed?

I'm interested to hear from anyone who successfully uses code connect with their design system.

We have code connected our main components in the repo. The dev has put them all into a new figma file. However I cannot move the connected master components into our design system file without the code connect breaking.

Am I missing something? Have you had to move your design system into a new file?

I recently ordered something from John Lewis and tried to cancel it but couldn't, so John Lewis told me I should refuse delivery.

When I went to answer the door the delivery driver had already put it behind the bins and marked as delivered. (I've recently had knee surgery so am super slow!)

I told him I needed to refuse the delivery and he said he will take it back to the depot but he couldn't do anything else. I asked to take a picture of him taking it away as proof it wasn't delivered and he said no, which made me super worried. Before he responded to the question I did actually take a picture of him (by accident).

Whilst it was supposed to be Royal Mail...it wasn't. I can't remember which company he said, but he wasn't in uniform at all.

I realise it is very likely the parcel won't get back or be marked as refused delivery.

Is there anything I can do? I should have just accepted injury and returned it.
Does anyone know which companies Royal Mail use?

I honestly have to skip it whenever they come on. They literally just talk about how hard their life is. Cannot stand the weird rich people sincerity on a reality tv programme

I am 2 weeks post revision ACLr (allograft) and lateral meniscus repair surgery.

My leg is slightly off straight and when ever I try to straighten it, I get a lot pain in the lateral meniscus area. Has anyone else had this?

When were you able to straighten leg after surgery?

I am seeing the physio on tuesday.
