Which color shows MOP best?

This would be my first MOP watch. Anyone here with more experience with MOP dials? My coupon is about to expire😅

The date on a dresswatch debate isn't "just color-match it"

The reflexive take is always "color-match the date wheel and it looks symmetric." That's half the story at most. Matching the wheel quiets the window, but it doesn't fix the balance, your eye still lands on the gap where a marker should be. Placement beats colour anyway. A date at 6 can sit politely; a 4:30 date wrecks a dress dial whatever shade the wheel is.

The S4108 puts the date inside the small-seconds subdial instead of cutting a fresh window into the open dial. That's the move nobody really argues about: fold the date into an element that's already on the dial, so you never punch a hole in clean space at all. Costs you legibility on the date, sure, but the main field stays untouched.

Take the S4106 and S4107 for instance. A classic 3 oclock date versus absolute visual symmetry. For a pure dress watch, the 4107 is the clear winner.

I still do not understand why Toei refused to let Goku accept his Saiyan heritage

This created a really weird situation where Goku already fully accepted being a Saiyan in the manga, but the anime kept flip flopping on it constantly. It made Goku look like he had a split personality or was almost schizophrenic regarding his own identity.

The most affordable Baltany, the D12 quartz

This is also the cheapest watch in my collection, solid and total worry free experience. The sapphire crystal is super clear too. I love they made a 36mm to honor the original historical dimensions, which is just awesome for my small wrist.

Engine-turned vs. Smooth vs. Fluted, which bezel are you picking?

I didn't know engine-turned bezel before this Baltany release. I usually prefer smooth bezel, but I am so glad I went with this one. It catches the light just right—plenty of personality, but not as loud as a fully fluted bezel. Combined with the linen dial and incredible crystal clarity, it looks like a much more expensive watch!

My only real critique is the clasp. I know the stamped clasp is a deliberate vintage touch, but a solid milled option would have been great.

Still, this bezel was a huge pleasant surprise. Which bezel you guys prefer?

The brown sunburst dial is my fav part, it looks way better than the pic on their site. Also, the grain on the case brushing is exceptionally smooth. I think the finishing easily rivals San Martin. And they even managed to hit that tiny sub-second hand with lume. Honestly, the lume performance on this thing puts another Hamilton field watch I’ve ever owned to shame.😅

The only bummer is that they don't offer this colorway in the smaller version. This one just wears a bit too big for my wrist. Anyway, what's the holy piece with solid lume beside this one? Post your lume shots here!!🤩
