Was notified my buddy is being put up for a court martial, how do I help?

He just commissioned from AFROTC this May and is in UPT when he got drunk off base and got into a scuffle, he is 6’1 around 200 so he did some serious damage to the guy (the guy started the fight) but he knocked the dude out and now the family is pressing charges. Also did not help he left the bar scared and got pulled over and blew over the legal limit (was not swerving but still blew)

Im just a pesky civilian but I am curious how is this gonna work? Is he gonna get kicked out? He is in UPT and told me he can’t afford to get kicked out cause he would have to repay his tuition (he was on a scholarship through ROTC)

Some insight from an iri player

Hit every every season of bo7 warzone ranked and wanted to share some tips to help yall:

1. Stop taking every gunfight: Your ego is writing checks you can't cash, just because you got first shots and broke someone's armor, they can run away and when you follow them their boys are waiting for you and you die. Similarly stop trying to chall kids on headies and if they have height advantage. You watch one biffle video and think your him, buddy im gonna have to be honest your not him. Also stop pushing teams by yourself, unless your with your team or have one/two knocked don't rush them like its pubs.

2. Life/Placement over kills: This plays into point 1, you could drop 10 kills as a team but still go negative because you were playing reckless, i would rather have 4 kills combined but still hit top 4 and go positive then have 15 kills and go negative SR. Also play like your life depends on it, you have your loadout and see a kid off in the distance and think "i got this" only to die because he heard/saw you and waited for you to run the corner while he is on a god headie.

3. Drop 3 stacking and have an anchor: Because of the cheating epidemic 3 stacking is now a guaranteed way back to the lobby. You can do it up until crim if you want to hit iri, have 2 fraggers running around getting kills while the anchor gets money and keeps you up. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WHEN THE GAME STARTS YOU GO WATER, my god i hate kids like this. This should only be a last resort if you guys are getting put in a blender or your fraggers are burgers (just play for top 4 at that point). And only do it so your fraggers have time to reestablish. Also the anchor should be holding money at all times so incase the fraggers die they wont drop money. Side note when both your fraggers go down you should be by a buy station so you can instantly buy them back.

4. Stop screaming into the mic when you die: I have dealt with so many kids that scream/cry/rage when they die ONE time. Bro chill out, just come back and re-up. If you lost a bullshit gunfight its ok it happens to everyone, but the people that cry and moan every time they die need to understand this is a video game at the end of the day. Your mental state is a big indicator of how the game is gonna go. I even had 3 people this season (2 Crim 2's and an iri) rage quit mid game and because we were squadded up we did not have the protection incase someone DC's. And we still went positive which is crazy.

5. Drop Solo Q'ing: You have no excuse to get mad when there are tons of discord LFG's out there to find people with competent people. BE ADVISED you will still find morons here but atleast you will have coms and switch people if needed. Also every single game you play with new people play a little safe just to see if they are good or will sell your SR. If they are competent then good, if they make dumb plays (everyone has a bad game but bad game sense is unacceptable) drop them and find new people.

I have more I could say but most of it you should also be able to find on your own, part of climbing the ranks is just learning from your mistakes and focusing on what gets you high SR. And remember for everyone saying "I can't hit iri because of cheaters/hacking" is coping I hit iri twice this season while working a 9-5.

Boosting puts burgers in ranks they have no business in

Literally 80% of the kids i meet on these LFG discords all claim to be crim/iri and even have the calling cards but as soon as we go in a game they play like plats. I tell people we need an anchor and then they like "anchor is for noobs lets stack" and I literally got squad wiped back to back 2 games in row (sr protection 1st game and -90 next game cause im crim 3). If i played with actual crims/iris literally would hit iri in 2 days. I hit iri every season and crim 2 in MP but my god these drones annoy me.

Unpopular opinion: Going to basic first then OCS is a waste of time, money, and resources.

I know this will be a controversial topic but the other branches send their candidates straight to officer school. Yeah i know if they fail they get reclassed as an E-4 and then needs off the army. Also the whole "people will respect them if they went to basic" is smoke and mirrors. Basic is designed so that the biggest ASVAB waiver can make it through, just turn your brain off and be in the right place at the right time in the right uniform and follow elementary level instructions. You have people that graduate that don't remember anything because basic is Mickey Mouse. Plus we all know a handful of people from basic that if we found out became officers, would write to SecDef asking who authorized their commission.

Your gonna get smoked at OCS so why do we have to send to basic? 09S's should only go to basic IF they fail out of OCS, for some reason the army loves making things more complicated then it needs to be. Again just my humble opinion.
