Talon build “musts”?

Otp yone wanna learn talon. Yone’s build is super strict and has has clear reasoning for every item and the order in which to build. I wasn’t sure if talon had any strict “must go this” items/runes.

Also specific questions since i’ve never played an assassin:

Why don’t a lot of talons build axiom arc earlier?

I plan on running stormraiders surge, does that change build priority at all? (I don’t really like yomuus and would like to rush cyclo for wave clear to roam, but i just don’t understand if it’s necessary or not)

Do i need armor pen item 3rd or 4th?

What are the reasons i shouldn’t start mana tear and bring second wind? (I don’t really care for solo kills in lane, however am i losing too much value elsewhere by bringing a sustain setup to farm early?)

Anything else you care to add please do, go into as much detail as possible

Yone being pushed out of mid lane

Wanna hear thoughts.

After having a sub 48% wr everywhere, yone is nearing a 50% wr top lane. All of the adc buffs (doran’s bow, berserker greaves, yun tal, etc.) have indirectly buffed yone top without buffing him mid and making him a pro problem.

Now riot is incentivizing mages to come back mid, and buffing sorc shoes/nerfing mercs. Other than the sorc buff being a little unnecessary imo, it also nerfed yone/yas conq + pd rush if they planned on building mr boots.

At this point there really isn’t a reason to play yone mid over top lane.

mid laner swapping to jg for a split, and had some questions

For context, i am a mid/adc yone main. I’ve been playing ranked for around 4 months and wasnt able to hit plat before the split ended. I’ve decided to invest a split into jg to help my decision making as a mid laner. I will be playing kayn primarily with lillia as my 2.

I have a somewhat basic knack for what to do.

- clear clear clear
- Don’t take bad/outnumbered fights
- Ask myself “why am i going here” before doing so
- Blow up the side of the map with ur win condition
- Don’t so much as sniff the enemy jungle without intel or prio

However i just had a few super specific questions so i dont run it down.

- Are level 1 invades truly worth it considering the risk, and if so what makes it immediately not worth it?

- What should i prioritize over finishing a quadrant?

- If my ganks are neutral with enemy jg but his laners are outperforming mine, how should i adjust?

If there’s anything i seem to be wrong about let me know. I also just wanted to give props to some of you, as the difference in this subreddit compared to midlanemains is night and day. You guys are so much smarter than people give you credit for, you guys have a reason for everything you do and it amazes me😭

is it annoying to see an otp as ur bot laner? (yone)

I main yone mid and have my secondary set to bot. My bot lane wr w/ yone is 73% over 70 games and i’m thinking abt maining bot. However a lot of supports either dodge or complain.

My wr w/ soraka supp is by far the highest at 80% over 25 games, which is why i’m asking here. Since i have the highest wr + games played with sorakas i trust ur thoughts somewhat over supports in general.

If you care to answer additional questions:

- I never ever type unless i have to go afk to piss, but if i did to explain im not throwing would that help?

- is there anything i should know to make the super difficult early lane phase more smooth?

- does it annoy u if i ping knights vow? also which item in ur build could be replaced with knights vow so i can ping it without looking ignorant?

If yone’s passive converted 100% into magic dmg thru building ap, would it be too broken?

Im not saying give yone ap scaling, but make his passive convert into more magic dmg based on how much ap he built. He would still need to build ad and crit first to make the conversion worth it, but instead of bruiser items he could choose to build ap items to bypass armor comps.

currently every other auto converts 50% of his dmg into magic dmg. making it a 100% conversion would make it seem useful.

idk what the exact number would be but like for every 2.5 ap built, the magic dmg conversion goes up 1%. It wouldn’t be increasing his dmg in any way, just making more of his dmg magic. so with 130 ap he is converting every other auto into fully magic dmg.

Best tips that helped you climb out of silver

i’m disappointed in myself for even asking for help because i originally thought id never need it. This is my first ever ranked season, i was able to climb to gold4 then dropped down to iron1. I am finally approaching gold again however lost every game recently and don’t want to fall again so i’m here.

was there a realization you came to, or rule you abide by that got you “unstuck”?

to give some most likely necessary context, i one trick yone and focus on early kills to snowball out of control. the only reason im saying my champ is due to his potential for roaming in case thats a highly recommended playstyle as i currently do not gank often.

when the enemy comp is armor heavy, if I went terminus > stormrazor > IE would my on hit magic dmg crits increase?

If someone cared to test an ap crit build lmk.
(Bork > def boots > stormrazor > IE > Terminus > D&D/hourglass)

This is like super situational however you’d get to keep bork and go def boots, and once you get to terminus you’d get some pen and be dealing ap dmg but idk maybe i’m slow

(at grandmas house cant test)
