Loving our new set up

Three weeks in with my new setup

It’s definitely been a learning curve coming from my old cheap Aldi machine! 😅

After plenty of experimenting with grind, dose, temperature and extraction, I’m getting closer to that sweet spot.

Still tweaking and learning, but I’m really happy with my choices based within my budget which was below €500. The Victoria and the Eureka MG50E are definitely a keeper ☕️❤️

Has anyone else had their shipping carrier changed?

I’m wondering if anyone else in Ireland has had this happen recently.

I had all shipping options disabled apart from An Post, because there are no other suitable drop-off points near me. I haven’t changed these settings.

I’ve just sold an item, and after the buyer paid, Vinted generated a QR code for a completely different carrier/drop-off point that isn’t convenient or realistically accessible to me.

I contacted Vinted, but their virtual assistant has told me that once the buyer has paid and the prepaid label/QR code has been generated, the shipping option cannot be changed and they won’t issue a new An Post QR code for the same purchase.

That leaves me a bit stuck, because I specifically had the other options disabled in my settings.

Has anyone else in Ireland experienced Vinted changing/adding a shipping option despite having it disabled? And if so, did you manage to get Vinted to change it or resolve it without cancelling the sale?

I’d really like to hear if this is happening to others before I decide what to do with the order.

From Aldi machine to Lelit Victoria + Eureka Mignon for just over €450

I never planned on falling down the espresso rabbit hole but here we are.

Started with a cheap Aldi machine just to see if I’d actually enjoy making espresso at home before spending more money on it than needed. It worked, sort of, but I quickly realised there’s a lot more to it than pressing a button.

Found a 10 year old pre-loved Lelit Victoria PL91T that needed a good clean and descale. Bringing it back to life was half the fun. Added a second-hand Eureka Mignon and that was it. Altogether for 455 Euro

Now I’ve got a proper PID single boiler and a solid grinder I never thought possible a few months ago. Shots still aren’t perfect and I’m still dialling everything in, but that’s what makes it fun.

Going from budget machine to this without spending a fortune has been incredibly satisfying. ♥️

Not quite the wash I had in mind😂

I'm collecting more and more "firsts" with this bike than I ever did with any of my previous ones. From muddy trails to unexpected swims, it's given me more adventures and more laughs than anything I've owned before.

Two years together and I'm still having an absolute blast. Here's to many more... preferably with a little less water next time. 😄

Bought a 2016 Lelit Victoria for €300 ($345)

Thank you to everyone who commented on my previous posts and shared their knowledge and advice. I really appreciate the help and support from this community.

I picked up this second-hand 2016 Lelit Victoria for €300 and after a bit of investigation, cleaning and servicing, she's finally mine.

The seller described it as "meticulously cleaned and maintained"… after removing the shower screen and gasket, I'm not sure we had the same definition of meticulous 🫣

That said, she is now fully serviced and looking like a different machine:

• New shower screen

• New group gasket

• Full clean and descale

• Everything cleaned up and shining again

Thanks again to everyone who helped me get this far. Now it's time to learn and enjoy the journey.

Oh by the way, second hand Eureka Mignon MG50 is also on the way 😊

Inside the 10 yr old Lelit Victoria - does anything look concerning?

Thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post. I really appreciate all the knowledge and experience in this community, and the replies definitely helped put my mind at ease about the pump noise.

I’ve now opened the machine up for the first time and attached a photo of the internals. I haven’t done any maintenance yet, no descaling, gasket replacement, shower screen, etc. I’m just trying to assess the overall condition before I start servicing it.

To my untrained eye it looks fairly clean, but I’m completely new to Lelit machines.

Does anything stand out to those of you with more experience? Any signs of leaks, corrosion, previous repairs, or anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks again for the help, it’s genuinely appreciated.

Lelit Victoria (PL91T): does she sound normal

I recently picked up a used Lelit Victoria (PL91T) and I'm just giving it a thorough check over before I start using it regularly.

Everything seems to be working. It heats up, brews, steams and the hot water function works.

The only thing I'm unsure about is the noise. The pump sounds quite loud, but I don't have anything to compare it to.

I haven't done any maintenance yet and I haven't opened the machine up yet either. I'm planning to do that today or tomorrow. At the moment I'm just trying to assess the overall health of the machine.

Does this sound normal for a Lelit Victoria, or does it sound like the pump is struggling or that something needs attention?

The machine is a 2016 model

Thanks!

Just bought a pre-loved Lelit Victoria. What should I do before using it? [Lelit Victoria PL91T]

Hey everyone,

I’m pretty new to the espresso world and have just picked up a second-hand Lelit Victoria PL91T.

I started out with a cheap Aldi espresso machine just to see if I actually enjoyed making coffee, not just pressing a button and getting a drink.

After that I kind of fell down the rabbit hole looking for something better. With a fixed budget in mind, I spent about 6 months stalking the second-hand market for a pre-loved Lelit, Gaggia, Rancilio or Quick Mill… definitely a patience game. I finally came across the Victoria and decided to go for it.

Now I’m just wondering what I should do when it arrives before using it. I don’t know the full history of the machine, but the previous owner said it was well looked after.

Anything you’d check, clean, or watch out for before using it?

Thanks!
