IDR recertification already?

My IDR recertification date is in September. But I received an email from my servicer today that saying “we've received your repayment plan application”.

I’ve previously elected auto recertification. However, my recertification date isn’t until mid-September. Is this notification about the auto recertification? If so, why is it so early? Will my payments change before September?

I’m mainly worried that my account was hacked or that I accidentally submitted something

Made a post to r/personalfinance and now feel hopeless

They made me realize I will never make enough money to pay off my loans. I was hoping to have a career in academia and go for PSLF, so I went to the best program that made me an offer. I got all As. Now I will be in debt forever and there are no jobs on the horizon. I sometimes feel like I should die rather than burden a future spouse and children with my debt

I have 10 grand saved up

This Friday, I will have officially 10k saved up by basically not having a life. I owe 100k in federal student loans from a few degrees that will not make me any money (pls don’t comment on it, I have paid the price. I work multiple jobs, have not gone on vacation, etc). I would like to have a normal life moving forward.

How can I maximize my savings?

How can I volunteer in Haiti?

Virtually every program I come across has no active volunteer opportunities in Haiti due to security. Is there any place that is offering opportunities?

Struggling with Jesus as God as an Episcopalian

There just seems to be so much historical and scriptural evidence that Jesus and his earliest followers did not consider him to be God (eg traditional notions of messiah, Jesus saying that the Father was greater, explanations that early Christians saw the resurrected Jesus as an exalted being rather than God incarnate).

Am I completely missing the mark on this? How am I supposed to see Jesus?

W. African Dialects for Quranic Arabic

This is a really specific question: Should I work with a specific tutor if I wanted to study West African Sufism (Senegal, Gambia, etc) and discuss Quranic studies?

Currently on PAYE but will likely switch to RAP when it becomes available. I keep seeing conflicting information about whether or not interest will capitalize if I switch. Does anyone know if it does?

I believe there was a post some months ago about whether or not interest capitalizes when leaving PAYE. But since so much has been in flux I want to stay up to date.

I keep getting phone calls from old area codes I used to live in. It’s basically been 2 an hour for the past 24 hours.

I don’t answer my phone unless it’s a number I recognize. My philosophy is usually “if it’s important they’ll leave a message”. They haven’t so far.

But the consistency of today is starting to freak me out. I’m worried that it’s legal entities (ie the local government or police department) trying to get a hold of me. I’m also wondering what I did to cause this.

Please let me know if you have any advice on if this is an issue or if I should continue ignoring the calls

I am currently on PAYE which I know will be phased out by 2028. RAP is a much more viable option for me as I would only qualify for Old IBR. However, I have Grad PLUS loans and it feels like so much is up in the air right now about the RAP rules.

Does anyone have a sense of how likely it is that Grad PLUS borrowers would be excluded from RAP?

Based on the recent info on how RAP will be implemented I am confused about 2 things:

  1. It sounds like the interest subsidy will go away if you choose to pay extra. Does this mean you will not be able to pay extra on a particular loan?

  2. It says the interest subsidy is eligible for subsidized/unsubsidized loans. Does this mean that Grad Plus loans are not eligible?
