Non priority UK doctors

How are IMGs not in training/applied to training this year coping with the fact that the goal post has shifted so dramatically? And worse risking unemployment/having to apply to TG jobs year on year to meet the 5 years? Is this sustainable?

As an aside I can get behind the principle of UKGP but “ILR/citizenship as proxy for NHS experience” sounds more discriminatory to me rather than bureaucratic lassitude. At the end of the day IMGs pay taxes in this country so if anyone is thinking of commenting “you’re robbing us of jobs”, I suggest you read a book.

Newbie @reddit

Hey everyone!

I’m completely new here and honestly a little nervous posting this 😭

I’ve recently started exploring Reddit because I really want to connect with people from different countries, cultures, and study backgrounds.

I’m an engineering student from India who dreams of studying abroad someday — especially in Italy 🇮🇹. Lately, I’ve been trying to learn Italian, understand the culture, explore student life, scholarships, part-time jobs, and everything related to studying overseas.

I’d genuinely love to meet kind people here — whether you’re a student, language learner, someone already studying abroad, or just someone who loves meaningful conversations. I’m also trying to improve my English and become more confident while talking to new people online!.

Thank you for reading this little introduction. Hope to meet some amazing people here.
