Was getting some chores done before a work trip and decided to snake the tub drain in the master. Get pretty far in and decide to get it out. As I’m pulling I feel it catch something. I stop pulling for fear of this exact situation.
Come to Reddit and see recommendations and see people saying to reverse the direction and pull. Which seems to work for a second as a get a few more feet out but then it catches again. By now the line has a good amount of tension and a kink forms, which then breaks.
Things I tried before I left:
- getting channel locks and pulling
- using a drill to grab the end and keep reversing
- poured a bunch of dish soap in there and used channel locks and then pliers to keep twisting in reverse
Neither worked. I’m back today, after a few days away, and tried the pliers reverse and forward again, but also afraid about snapping off what there is left. Should I keep trying? Is it time to call in a professional? Will they do things differently?
Being on slab foundation I’m fearing the worst and feeling preeeeetty dumb
In north Texas. Was the first time seeing one like this. Not sure what it is but got to watch it for a while. A bee did chase it off for a bit though lol
First cook on my new Blackstone. Love it
I’ve seen these birds fairly frequently. Today was the first time I saw more than one. There were at least three all around my house. They are smaller than the red tailed hawks I see in the neighborhood but pretty sure still birds of prey. These were the best pics I could get
