As the title says need help deciding between the two laptops. I found them with the same specs i9, 24gb ram, 1tb ssd and 5070 however, the regular legion 5 model is oddly 200 Aud more.

I need to use the laptop for uni (engineering) and the commute is quite long so i was wondering if the base model would be better portability-wise. 16 inches and heavier just seems oversized, but i would basically be paying the premium for the slimmer design and OLED screen, Is that worth it?

For context, both are within my budget the main thing is i expected the pro to be more expensive. Idk drop ur thoughts below. legion 5 2600 aud, pro 2400 aud.

having a hard time deciding a major, Im in flexible so i get to delay my choice but after term 1 looks like i have to pick at least a general area/field. Engineering degrees seem rather difficult (prob bc of the fear mongering on media) I do think im disciplined enough to complete with slightly above average results just not sure what to go in. Due to difficulty and length im still tryna make a decent salary any advice?

One point of interest was deciding between elec and quantum, the 1st 2 yrs are basically the exact same for these 2 I wonder how long u can take to decide if u go this way. Whats the difficulty difference between the 2 looks like it goes to 3rd yr before they make u take like quantum subjects. If u do quantum decide its too hard in 3rd yr just drop straight to elec. Are u still competitve for jobs in EE if u do quantum.

As the title says seeing if someone is willing to give me like employee discount or smthing on this [2146413] Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10 15.1" WQXGA OLED i9 24GB RAM 1TB RTX 5070 Gaming Laptop - Eclipse Black. Or the gigabyte aero with the ryzen 7 5070 if yous can get that down to 2k. Would truly appreciate it. Longshot but can't hurt to ask.

Thoughts on the laptop would aslo be appreciated. For the current price seems like a steal. The 24gb ram seems a little weird. Would have preferred 16 at slightly lower price than upgrading it myself.

Has anyone ever switched from usyd sem 1 to trimester 2. I have the offer but when I called they said its recommended I defer to trimester 3 if i want my prior things to be counted. I don't know if they said it as a recommendation or like u can't situation gonna call back tmrw. The fields are almost completely unrelated but i dont wanna do math 1a all over again. plus tryna get cred for 2 gen ed/electives so i can still finish in 4 years. Technically i finish going to classes may 31st but i would be doing exams in middle of june.

So what Im really asking is

1. Has anyone done this process already

2. Can i expelled or stopped from going to both with consequences of any sort.
