How to help someone who thinks they suck at their job? (Possible Burnout)

The title's a little confusing, but so is the situation at hand.

This friend of mine has been working in a fast-paced startup for close to 2 years now (first job), and the unending stream of abrupt and sudden deadlines, along with immense pressure has turned him into a shell of his previous confident self.

He no longer finds joy in coding and is forced to provide immediate outcomes without actually learning the process. This has led him to believe he landed this job by luck and does not deserve to be here, compared to his 'smarter' peers.

I don't know if it's Burnout, but it saddens me to see a Confident young man shrivel up like this.

I've tried to motivate him towards interview prep but he barely gets enough time to sleep in his current schedule.

He refuses to quit either, because the money is decent and important for his family.

Any suggestions on how to help? Anyone even been in a similar situation, what did you do?
