Honestly, this last and most recent update has been amazing. The new UI changes, some of the sound effects and performance has been in the best state its ever been. I know everyone has a million opinions on balancing and etc... but those aside, this update has given me some much needed hope for this games future, It got pretty dark there recently and im hoping for the best in the coming months!
This isn't a targeted revenge, but long story short I work for a large corporation. Everyone around me all have children, I do not. Constantly people are coming in late, or leaving early because "daughter has softball practice" or "sorry my son has a doctor's appointment this morning".
Nobody actually cares they are very accepting of it because well it's your children. Then there are the childless who are unable to clock in a few minutes late due to traffic or etc, but "sorry my daughter had to go to the doctor, she laid an egg last night and we had to get it checked out" will work without further question.
So I did what any rational man who just wants a late morning every couple of months would do, I AI generated pictures of "my two kids". I framed them and put them on my desk, I also have the pictures in my wallet that I pull out from time to time to show coworkers "my pride and joy right here"
My kids names are Pearce and Hailey. Pearce is the oldest and loves playing soccer, I take him to games all the time and now I have to leave work at 3 on Fridays to pick him up from school because my wife (also AI generated) is working late.
I've had so much free and excused time off recently it's been great.
The amount of players who have the mindset of "playing support" because they are scared of clicking on the enemy is ridiculous in low ELO's.
This isn't red dragon, you can't simply be a supply spammer and support your team, you have to also put some units into the fight.
Oh how many times in paired with people who just spam artillery and supplies then complain and bark orders at players who have ACTUAL WARFARE ASSETS on the field.
Wondering why were struggling to take and or hold ground when you have infantry and tanks split between 2 players, and the rest are sitting in the back with their missiles and supply helicopters, doing absolutely nothing.
"I'm firing missiles at the enemy" no..your firing missiles at where the enemy was 45 seconds ago pal.
You can at least at minimum stick some low tier troops nearby an objective, seriously.
Take your supply boxes and go home, I have my own supplies.
Grew up playing this game non stop, and get to relive my childhood with nuclear option lol. Some really cool aircraft that give heavy nuclear option vibes from this classic game
I wish I could sell some of my excess corn meal, fabric, and other items I've been getting a large inventory of from farming. Would be cool if we could purchase contracts "contract for 500 fabric" or something
Or just have a merchant that will buy whatever goods you are willing to sell to them.
I created a large farm of corn and flax, now I have thousands of corn, corn meal, flax, fabric and etc.
