Does anyone know what happens after FMLA runs out but work can’t accommodate the restrictions your OB put in place?

I’ve been on intermittent leave due to HG since July. A couple weeks ago I went into work on a Monday and pulled a muscle working with a heavy client. I was out for 3 days and had apt on Friday.

My OB wrote up a letter saying I cannot lift, push, or pull over 20lbs. My works HR let me know they cannot accommodate that, and to apply for continuous leave.

I only have about 4 weeks left of leave left. Now obviously running out a lot earlier than anticipated now that they can’t accommodate these restrictions.

But I have no idea what happens to me after it runs out. I don’t even know who to ask. I tried to ask HR but they’ve been extremely unhelpful and basically tried to get me to say the pulled muscle didn’t happen at work.

I had to do an incident report and I have an apt this week with my PCP to fill out a work comp document.

Am I just… fired? Isn’t that not legal? Idk. Idk anything.

I feel like a bad dog mom

We got a new pup (3yo) back in April. We started training and he loved it. Then I found out I’m expecting mid June. My pregnancy has been ROUGH. Very sick, multiple ER visits, very very minimal energy.

Needless to say, we have not been consistent with anything besides feeding and snuggling. He’s a pretty active pup and wants to play all day. I feel like I do what I can but it’s definitely not enough. He deserves more.

How can I mentally stimulate him?

My bf works a lot, OT, trying to save up as much as we can before the baby arrives. So he doesn’t have the time or energy either.

He \*loves\* car rides and I’ll take him on a few a week but I know that’s not enough.

I need some ideas.

Harbour Womens Health Portsmouth

A few weeks ago I posted asking if I should go to Maine Health in Biddeford or Wentworth Douglas Brigham…. And everyone said go to Harbour Women’s Health in Portsmouth.

So that’s what I did and I just wanted to say my experience was/is pretty shit. They don’t seem to take any of my chronic illness seriously whatsoever. I’m just very disappointed.

If you might think you’ll be considered high risk… I recommend staying away. I’m sure they’re fine for regular pregnancies.

Elizabeth Trevino was just so dismissive. The care was so basic I felt like I could’ve got everything from a dang AI doctor.

Now I will be trying Dover. I know there’s mixed reviews there but I’m hoping for a better experience and Facebook said the high risk care is supposed to be decent so we shall see.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Mamas- who was/is your OBGYN?

Deciding between Maine Health in Biddeford vs Brigham in Dover. I have experiences with Brigham when it was Wentworth, just not for this. I have nearly 0 experience with Maine health.

At first I was leaning towards Biddeford because of some stories I’ve heard about Wentworth, and my personal subpar experiences. However, looking at reviews, Wentworth has much better reviews for their providers.

Can anyone who has given birth the last few years recommend an OB at the Dover Brigham Young Hospital?

*bonus points if you had a complicated pregnancy and they were compassionate and caring* I struggle from a chronic illness, and have *immense* medical trauma.

Just hoping to find someone to treat me like a human and not just a number and take my feelings seriously.

MCAS / Rectal bleeding /

Do you guys suffer from bleeding?

When I flare sometimes there’s lots of bright blood in the toilet. I started taking Zyrtec, Pepcid, and hista gest dao, and the bleeding got A LOT better.

However, I just found out I’m pregnant. So I stopped taking it for 2 days and ive been bleeding since. I’ve only taken a few Zyrtecs and my regular prénatals.

Even if you’re not pregnant, is this a symptom that you have struggled with?
