Hello. I saw this sub knows about these types of cherries. What should I do with my harvest

I’ve lived in this place for years and never harvested the tree that grows in the front. This year I got curious and googled them, I think they’re sour dwarf cherries? And the seed was made by a university in Saskatchewan to deal with our harsh climates.

Picked, rinsed and soaked in a vinegar solution. Do I need to pit every single one?

Where do you get your protein powder?

I just bought a 5lbs bag from Popeyes Supplements for $100 and god damn that felt steep. Granted, I haven’t bough protein powder in over a decade and I’ve been reading it’s gone up in price a lot lately.

Where is your favourite place to stock up?

I’m just going to walk up bank street next time.

Waited over 15 mins to get on a bus ride that takes 10. I could have walked to my destination quicker. This backup is insane

Looking for the best Sugar Pie

Or at the very least, one that’s exceptional. I grew up where butter tarts are favoured over sugar pies so I’ve never really liked them that much.

But my gf is obsessed with them and swears I just haven’t had a REAL one yet as I’ve only tried grocery store sugar pies. Help me please!

Wow.

So for some odd reason I’ve put off Gongfu Bao because its opening hours are pretty scarce at the moment (Wednesday to Saturday only) but I shouldn’t have made myself wait so long. I adored the fried chicken bao. It had a slightly sweet / mustard seed relish vibe that has been lingering in my brain every day for a week now.

Pork was my second favourite. It had that quintessential Chinese sweet glaze on it that makes you want to keep coming back for another bite. That combined with the bouncy chew of the bao makes my brain go brrrrrrrrrr.

My least favourite was the brisket personally but it was still delicious - just hard to hold a candle next to the other too. A little on the tart / savoury side with a heavy onion presence.

Wonton chips surprised me as an appetizer - super pleasant and tasty.

I wanted to try the Hong Kong French toast but I got STUFFED. The bao here are the biggest I’ve ever had, like one fits in your entire hand. They are quite generous and while expensive (+$10 each) I can’t see myself ever eating more than two in one seating.

Thanks for reading guys, cheers!
