How did this even happen? Is it totaled?

Got a call from my girlfriend that she got into an accident - not sure how it happened yet because she was so shocked she barely even remembered what happened (at least for now). I’m guessing a side swipe based on the damage, or maybe hit a side wall on the road? What do you think?

What are the chances it’s totaled? 2013 Malibu LT

Got the TL Designate position!

Just got the email Friday that I was selected for the TL Designate position in my area (OH, MD, DC, DE). Not sure when the transition will take place but was just looking from current/previous TL reps on what to expect regarding daily workload compared to regular CGA (like claim cap) and also how it will work with any claims that I’m currently assigned to. I’m guessing I’ll keep those non TL claims and then just work them until they’re done and then get mostly TLs?

Direct Deposit Change

I’m thinking about switching banks and would need to update my direct deposit info, but wasn’t sure if there’s a waiting period when I change it for the funds to go into that account instead of the old one? I definitely will wait until after this check hits to change it, but wasn’t sure what the timeframe was and if I need to change it a whole pay cycle or 2.

Total Loss Designate Program

Can anybody who has experience with this give me a sense of what the difference in roles between this and a typical CGA would be? Been getting emails about this opportunity and idk if this means I’d be only working on total loss claims or if they would just amp up my already high claim load with more total loss claims. Also not sure if this changes my pay, location, or anything like that.

Excess for rental claims?

So in an accident with a rental through a dealership, will progressive handle those damages? Someone told me about the policy might be excess? What does that mean and how can I know if progressive will handle the costs of the rental damages or not?

Progressive Auto Adjuster - looking to move

So I’ve been an auto Claims Adjuster at Progressive for almost a year now, but I just can’t deal with how they company is anymore. Been looking into other avenues but not sure I want to even be in claims anymore. Any tips for someone to look into other avenues in insurance that auto adjuster experience would be a benefit to?

PTO - Verint (OH CGA)

Will Verint let me out in PTO before I actually have the PTO? I need to take off July 14-17 but I only have enough PTO right now for 3 days. I’ll have enough by next paycheck on the 8th, but I’m worried that won’t leave enough time for my supe to set me up with a WGYB with the RIT team. I tried doing it in Verint but idk if I’m just putting in wrong or what, but it just gets auto denied.

DTE

Has anyone else (CGA/I) noticed an increase in cars totaling at shops or being repairable once being sent to IAA? We’ve been told to “trust the DTE” but it’s gotten so many of my claims wrong recently and it’s causing me to get behind in my metrics.

Day In The Life - Subro

Anybody in here go from CGA to Subro and can tell me what a day in Subro is like, especially for a beginner? And what moves/people can I talk to right now to get ahead for when a Subro position opens up? Currently about 7-8 months into CGA and looking to move elsewhere.

Leaving Claims - Help

So has anyone here went from claims (currently a CGA) to a completely different field/department in the company and have any advice on how to do that? I’ve been looking into paths from CGA and all of them are just staying in claims and I don’t want to do that. I know it’s a lot harder to transition to other departments but I just want to hear from anyone who has done it and their experience with it

Discount on Insurance?

So I’m with State Farm and they just jacked my rate up and was going to look into other insurance and was just wondering if we get discounts on auto policies for being current employees? Probably not but figured I’d ask lol.

Is there a way to see how much PTO I have in the app? For some reason it has always showed 0 for everything even though I know I have PTO. Would be nice to see my totals without having to go on the Highway on my laptop when I’m not working.
